Lunch beer - Leffe Triple:



Went into the city yesterday and got our travel IDs and weekly transit tickets, although today may be a stay at home and unpack/unwind day...I still need to find a local (Villemomble/La Raincy) store for beer! Cheers!

 

Starting this session low and slow like the ribs (plus I needed some more sop )

Nothing challenging on this Monday morning, just an easy entry into the week . . .



Clear light gold color with white cap.

Aroma of mild malt with just a touch of floral hops.

Clean, simple flavors of good malt without sweetness rounded out by the hint of hops. Somewhat like a light beer in it's approach yet fuller bodied without any rough edges.

 

Should be a quiet day. Couple of dump runs and that's it.

 

Playing with vegetables today, too ... and lots of tin foil.

Mrs. Z overdid it (again) yesterday, and is still in the bed today (4:30pm). I popped down to the local pharmacy, bakery, and then grocery to fill a poke with necessities. Home now in the garden with an old favorite from last year - “8.6 Original” an “Intense Blonde Beer” (Strong Euro Lager) from Holland:



I’m drinking to you @Shroudofdoom! High ABV and 1,69 Euros (about $2/pint) cold out of the grocery cooler. Cheers y’all!

Another new (grocery store) tic for me today - “Fischer Tradition”, a French brewed Biere de Garde, made with 100% Alsacien hops:



Lite bready grain nose w/a hint of floral hop. Semi sweet but otherwise devoid of flavor. Watery lite body with moderate plus carbonation. My new 6% session pounder for 1,78 Euros/650 ml, sign me up and thank you Heineken!

 

Monday morning boat beer. Tart and refreshing. I very much like being on vacation.

 

Good afternoon, BAs! Going to enjoy my last Monday of freedom. Most PA and DE teachers are back to work this week, but my school doesn’t have us reporting until next week. I’ll take it.
