My last of these and it’s tasting damn good. I know a store that still has these, I should get one last 4-pack. You can’t beat the bargain that is this beer.

I was at Austin Street the other day and didn’t stop in at Battery Steele. Maybe I’ll try to swing by on my drive back south. Cheers.

Citra and Apollo is a nice hop combo! I never gave Apollo much thought until the first time I had Carton's 07701, now one of my favorites Dubviants.

This is some wild shit, BAs. Aslin nailed it in many ways, but I'm not sure I could work through a 4-pack of it. Cheers!

    Don’t hate playa!

One of my biggest accomplishments this summer was buying an oyster knife and taking ten minutes to learn how to shuck. As an avowed raw bar fanatic I’m kicking myself for waiting so long. If you love oysters I implore you, learn to do it yourself if you can’t already, it’s simple and straightforward and then you can enjoy them at home anytime the mood strikes you, for about half as much as you’d pay in a restaurant.

Rhinegeist NEDIPA. Excellent as expected! Great head retention and thick foamy lacing on the glass. Aromas and flavors of big tangerine, grapefruit, lemon, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, papaya, mango, melon, guava, berries, citrus peel/zest, and light pepper/pine hops; with moderate cracker, biscuit dough malts; and herbal, floral, grassy hop earthiness. Light pine, citrus peel/zest, herbal, grassy, spicy bitterness on the finish. Medium carbonation/body; creamy/bready/grainy malt/oats and light sticky hops in the mouthfeel; slight resins/rinds lingering after the finish. Lightly increasing dryness from lingering bitterness, no hop astringency. Very smooth, nice soft feel, minimal warming 8%. Great Simcoe, Citra, Cascade, Mosaic, and Amarillo profile as expected. Very juicy and fairly dank/earthy hops, with fruity Conan yeast; nice oat/malt backbone, with minimal residual sweetness from lingering dryness. Really well made for the style. 4

Review 7200. Fantastic Flanders red. Solid head retention and minimal lacing on the glass as expected. Aromas and flavors of big tart/sour lemon, lime, orange, peach, plum, cherry, raspberry, blackberry, pear, apricot, green apple, pineapple, melon, currants, red grape/wine, oak, hay, straw, and grass; with moderate brown sugar, caramel, lightly toasted bread malts; and lighter notes of pepper, oaken vanilla, leathery/musty funk, and red wine vinegar. Light-moderate lactic tart/sourness, wine tang, and light yeast/oak spiciness on the finish. Medium carbonation/body; balanced bready/grainy malts, lactic acid, and wine tang/tannins in the mouthfeel. Light-moderate increasing acidic/tangy/tannic dryness. Mildly increasing pucker through the glass, but not overwhelming. Minimal warming 7.35%. Fantastic well rounded Brett/Bacteria complexity and wine barrel presence/integreation; with nice malt backing against acidity. Spot on style all the way. 4.2

Raising this first beer up to my Father-in-law, he passed last night. He was under Hospice care & they told my wife he wouldn't last the week & they were correct. My wife is still understandably upset. I will honor him with some music that he liked, he wasn't much on drinking. I do remember him having a few at our wedding

Eh, a bit citrusy, big hop bitterness, but very little malt depth and rather thin in the mouthfeel.

Unfortunately it's lightly skunked. I got it on opening, taste isn't off as much as the nose, surprising because it's a 5/19 best by date so I'm guessing it's only 5 months old. Glad I only grabbed a single.
