I live on the east coast and we get quite a bit of Lagunitas Brewing Company beer. I have never had a bad beer from this brewery. Do they brew anything you do not like?

No but if they don't send any brown shugga this way I'll never know

Brown Shugga was excellent. You should try to get a bottle.

I wouldn't call it bad, but I thought Cappuccino Stout was pretty underwhelming.

Agree. Definitely the weakest I've had from them. If you want complex hops, you go Lagunitas.

Can't say I enjoyed Cappucino Stout the one time I tried it. I probably wouldn't have been able to finish the bomber if I wasn't splitting it with someone else at the time.

Too unfamiliar with most their stuff to comment about them in general. But I did have my first Brown Shugga' over the weekend and I am definitely a fan of that one.

"Why the hell does this beer exist?" is pretty much what I was thinking when I had it. Not particularly bad as you say, but pretty aimless and pointless is how it came across. If something like that doesn't make a bold statement with its coffee and/or stout qualities, then at least it should be about finesse and balance; I found it to take neither approach, but pull its punches to the point of dullness.

The first Lagunitas beer I ever tried was that Censored dealie a few years ago; I wasn't too crazy about that one either. Too much caramel sugariness without any real balancing qualities. It took a while before I gave them a shot again with one of their hoppier offerings- New Dogtown- and I was hooked ever since. Just stick with their hoppy beers, and you'll do fine.

I've always been happy with Lagunitas...but do not remember if I've had Cappuchino Stout or not.
Lagunitas used to be under-priced around here, but I suppose they have established a foothold now and their stuff is usually more spendy than other options.

I didn't like any of the stouts I've had from them. Their "gueuze" wasn't very good. Everything else is great.

I honestly can't think of one beer I don't like from Lagunitas. I love their beer garden as well.

I am totally jazzed that they are setting up shop in Chicago! They are masters of the hops. The idea of getting my highly favored Maximus fresh from the shop makes me salivate!

Overall I am a big fan of the beers that Lagunitas makes. Having stated that I think that the Pils they make is very average; not a bad beer but certainly not a good beer.

    Cheers!
