What beer are you drinking now? #2134

Just stopped at tri city brewing in bay city michigan. They had a lot of beers on tap. No NEIPAs, no sours and not a lot of ipas. They had a german styles, belgian styles, brown ale, porter scotch ales. Tons of malt, kind of a refreshing change of pace from most places. I had a dopplebock, begian dubble, brown ale and pale ale.

 

Played golf again today. I've been adopted by the MWF Group.

'Had a tooth extracted late this morning. My Oral Surgeon said no solid food for at least 24 hours and clear liquids only. It's not a hazy Northeast style IPA and has nice clarity so it must be OK - I got this liquid diet thing down, no problem-o.

In the Tropics I would choose a more refreshing drink I think..

Mrs. Z got good news from USA today re: pathology report! We ventured out late this afternoon and visited the Petite Palace to view the art...home now relaxing and I’m drinking a Jenlain Ambree from Brasserie Duyck, Jenlain, FR:



Not a lot going on with this beer...grainy malt/lite bitter hop, but has a metal vibe/finish. Nothing offensive, just ok. Best by date is July 20, 2019, so assuming pretty fresh...

Today’s Exhibition featured paintings from Paris Impressionist artists who fled to London in 1870/71 to escape the turmoil; good pieces from Monet and Pissarro, among others from roughly 1860s to early 1900s. My favorite is from Monet, well after he secured his status...from about 1903:



Mrs. Z in the courtyard/garden of the palace which was built for the 1900 Paris Exhibitions; she so enjoyed today’s outing, as did I - Cheers!
