Carton Brewing (July/August 2018)

Is Carton selling sixtels out of the brewery yet with production increased? Love to get some Jer 1

 

They usually have a few available. If you call and ask they’ll tell you what’s there.

I’ve enjoyed pretty much all of Carton’s new and returning beers that I bought this summer. So I was all excited by some of the comments here about Beach this time around. Just bought a four pack for my wife since she loved it last time it came out. She thought the first can was off. I tried a second can and thought it was eh. They just didn’t taste quite right and had virtually no hop character.

 

interesting... I just bought a 4pk of the newly released run over the weekend. Haven't cracked one yet, but I will soon to see if its any different from the early July batch.

 

you may wanna try the ones from two roads it's same as last year, we only over hopped the ones in nj

 

For me the problem seemed to be no hop character, not too much. Who knows, maybe somehow both our palates were off. We still have the last two to try.

 

Was it your first beer of the night? I'm one of the people who have been raving about this year's batch. I find it quite hoppy, especially in comparison to last year.

Does anyone know if 07750 hit distro? Freakin love that beer but would like to avoid a summertime drive up to the Highlands

 

It did, I came across it at Wegman's in Ocean but that was back at the beginning of August.

 

Inside our DNA is such an aweome beer for so many reasons. Im a world where people just keeping trying to make the same type of beers (juice ipas) carton still brews something so unique and new yet old. We are lucky to have such a unique place in NJ. Also I chose beach over boat four pack today and I felt like I was cheating on my favorite hoppy beer.

Anyone else feel the same way about DNA?

 

I haven't had a chance to try DNA.

But Beach is like the girl you meet at the shore in the summer and cheat on your regular girl with. Don't worry, you will be back with Boat after labor day

Found out that the small liquor store around the corner from me - which generally only received 2roads, started receiving AH brewed carton this month. Got a 4pk of 8/9 beach and 8/10 boat .

Enjoying the over hopped beach.

Just got back from a bit of an unplanned visit to Carton. That SMASH THE GOLDS is a really interesting beer. It has a more of a sweet almost fruity/buttery finish than most lagers I've had but my only regret was not grabbing a 4pack. Are cans of this hitting distribution, Augie?

Had to grab a six of THIS TOWN, I love that beer so much.

INSIDE OUR DNA was terrific, too. Reminds me a bit of Dogfish's Burton Baton with the oaky finish, but a different hop profile. This will age nicely.
