    That's good to hear. I still have a 3 Monts for later.
    The Hop Hunter is a nice one too. Never been widely available around here however.

    Another long day of mass transit and an early appointment at the hospital for a routine dressing change. I’ll handle the nursing duties moving forward, no more early mornings - yea!

    Home now with a grocery store grab - “Koenigsbier” an extra strong lager:



    Typical overly sweet, boozy EuroLager. What it does have going for it is, I’m tired, it’s a cold beer, and 7% doesn’t hurt...probably won’t buy any more though...

    After the hospital we rode the bus back through the city, visited Luxembourg Gardens:



    then the Pantheon:



    Construction started by Louis XV intended as a Catholic cathedral, it was not completed until 1790 under Louis XVI, who lost his head not long afterwards...now a civic building housing in the basement the crypts of many famous heroes, scientists, authors, etc. And the views from the 360 degrees “roof” of the dome are spectacular:

    Starting big with an old ale collaboration...



    My BA review:

    Clear, dark copper hued body; thick, fluffy head; some rings of lacing. Fine aroma filled with caramel, whiskey, anise; plus figs and dates. The taste nicely blends some faint brett flavor with a spicy kick and a bit of caramel sweetness on the palate. Heavy body; slick and smooth; some boozy warmth.

    An interesting and satisfying old ale collaboration between Surly and De Proef Brouwerij. The wild yeast adds an interesting twist to a classic big malt, big booze ale styling.
