    A surprise find in back of the "Fortress of Solitude's" micro beer fridge -- my last example of any of my home brews, this one dating from 2015. It was an attempt at an English mild ale with so-so results...it was severely under-attenuated, otherwise a fair little ale...



    The appearance has a fine dark quality to it while the head is very thin and fizzy (even after three years). The aroma has a rich dark grain quality to it; char. The taste and feel are so-so, hitting the dark grain profile I was shooting for, but still weak and watery. As I bought an aerator shortly after this to help with future brewing attempts (fermentaion issues, primarily), I haven't used it since the purchase. But cooler temperatures are coming and I can certainly get back into trying some seasonal ales and big lagers later this year and early next. I miss my home brewing endeavors (something I've been doing since about 1992 or so). I just need to step up to the plate and do it...

    This beer is in all the groceries that carry Wicked Weed. As a passion fruit beer, I'd rather have Liliko'i Kepolo. As a Gose, I'd rather have Westbrook or Anderson Valley.

    Couldn't be more happier with this one. Not over done & nothing underwhelming. Flavors blend perfectly. Nice hearty brew.
