Cool and rainy, a good day to start with my favorite coffee stout - Peche Mortel:

The best by date is 2021-01-10, and the beer tastes fresh - bitter roast coffee and bitter sweet dark chocolate. Cheers and have a great day y’all!

It’s after 3pm and I’m the only one drinking a beer? My European brethren must have taken this gloomy, rainy day off...I’m drinking cheap - Fischer’s “Tradition” :

For less than 2 Euros, a litely hopped 6% beer that doesn’t hurt the wallet at 65cl a pop and I think was bottled in June...the grocery store last night had some dusty bottles of Lagunitas IPA 3,50 Euros/12 oz bottle, but it looked like the bottling date was last December...pretty much what I see on the shelves in Florida

Something lagerish for this already hot, humid morning . . .

Clear copper amber gold color with white cap and lacing.

Aroma of sweet malt with floral hops, not much in the way of hops but the malt shines.

Taste is rich caramel malt with enough hop presence to balance. It's apparent malt is the star performer here with hops playing backup. As the flavor develops the caramel builds a bit and there is a slight toasty underlying element. All in balance with restrained sweetness that finishes on a refreshing dry hop note.

    Medium texture with balancing carbonation.

Lion's Paw is an interesting choice of name that's more fetching than simply calling it Amber and avoids the connection some potential customers might make with Ambers from their past. Altogether it's a straight forward refreshing beer that's company friendly and should pair well with a variety of foods. I'm thinking something fried.

I’ve been drinking a lot of Carlsberg Sort Guld, which is a mass produced, 5% continental euro lager. I find it good.

Now I’m upping my game with this 7.3% beer (that I do not like as much as the Carlsberg) while some craftier brews I just purchased in Lund cool down in the fridge.

    Cheers!

No big beer today - it’s cool at 19c, a bit rainy this afternoon. I will join the thread early so that @DoctorZombies doesn't feel too lonely.

Still raining so we are staying in today and planning future site seeing adventures (and I am on laundry detail). Looking forward to better weather tomorrow and our meet up with @Shanex - Cheers from Paris!

Rocket thought a kölsch before taking me on my morning walk would be a nifty idea...

I'm having a Torpah90 from Brasserie C from the city of Liège, in eastern part of Belgium. It's a Single Pale Ale made with Chinook hops.
    Cheers!

One of the best beers I’ve had in awhile, been steering away from barrel aged stouts lately to prepare myself for the colder months but this was too good to pass up. Even at $20 it’s a adjunct stout executed to perfection. The maple, the bourbon, the heat, even the coconut. Which I’m not a huge fan of normally. Everything was hitting on all cylinders for me. Looking forward to sipping on this for awhile and that’s saying something. Review on the way for you sticklers.

    Cheers!

I had this beer on tap at the brewery in July and it was delicious! Can’t wait to see what a little aging will do for the bottles I brought home...Cheers!

Came to Pizza Boy to grab some six packs, and saw they had Tired Hands Pineal on tap. Couldn’t walk out without trying one-

Based on what I’ve paid and heard of Cake Break variations going for, I suspect $20 is a relatively excellent price for that beer. Enjoy what sounds like a delicious stout!
