The latest Big Ape from Magnify. I like Motueka hops and this ale is surprisingly delicate in flavor and mouth feel with a nice presence of creamy vanilla and citrus and just enough bitterness at the finish. It really benefits from warming a little in the glass.

Sadly, made the switch to other. And sadly, should sign off before I post something stupid. Again.

    Namaste my friends.

Every time I drink a Dirty Bastard I say to myself, "damn, I should buy this more often," and then I become distracted by some local release. First World beer problems!

I've always thought Telegraph Road was an underrated Dire Straits song. And my wife and I still quote lines from Industrial Disease regularly.

    TRVE's Seven Doors Grisette.

This has possibly become my favorite beer I have tried from them. Wish I brought back more than just a 4 pack of it now.

From @The-Adjunct-Hippie. MS beer, which means I only have WV left! Delicious saison. Great fluffy head retention and foamy lacing on the glass. Aromas and flavors of lightly tart/tangy strawberries, fruit skin/seeds, lemon, orange, peach, pear, melon, red apple, peppercorn, hay, straw, herbal, floral, and grass; with moderate wheat, cracker, white bread dough malts; light funk, and yeast earthiness. A bit muted aromas. Moderate peppery yeast spiciness, and light herbal/floral/grassy bitterness on the finish. High carbonation, medium body, and very crisp/clean finishing. Balanced bready/grainy malts and sticky hops/yeast in the mouthfeel. Moderate increasing spicy/carbonated dryness, no astringency. Very flavorful/refreshing, 5.1%. Not watery at all. Great balance of authentic strawberries and classic Saison yeast complexity; with a nice pale/wheat malt backbone, and a nearly bone dry finish from carbonation. I was a big fan! Spot on stuff for the style. 3.93

Awesome hoppy sour as expected. Bit of a gusher opener. Fantastic lasting head retention and thick soapy lacing on the glass. Aromas and flavors of big lightly tart grapefruit, lemon, lime, orange, citrus peel/rind, peach, pear, pineapple, passion fruit, red/green apple, mango, melon, guava, berries, white wine, oak, peppercorn, pine, hay, straw, herbal, floral, and grass; with moderate wheat, cracker, white bread dough malts; with lighter notes of leathery/musty funk, white wine vinegar, and yeast earthiness. Light-moderate pine, citrus peel/rind, herbal, floral, grassy bitterness; peppery yeast/oak tannin spiciness; and light Brett/fruit tang tartness on the finish. Medium-high carbonation, medium body, and moderately crisp finishing. Balanced bready/grainy malts, sticky/resinous/rindy hops, oak tannins, and light tang/acidity in the mouthfeel. Moderate increasing bitter/spicy/carbonated dryness, minimal hop astringency. Very smooth, minimal warming 6.9%. Amarillo, Cascade, Citra, Hallertaur Blanc, & Centennial hops. Great balance of juicy/dank/earthy hops/fruit with classic JP house funky Saison/Brett complexity; nice oak presence and pale/wheat malt backbone. Liked this a bit more than the Cherry version of the same collaboration. Have the blend yet to try. 4.13

Stopped on the way home for a cold one.. Or two @At Red Oak Lagerhaus. Beautiful beer hall, inside and outside seating, dog friendly, not kid friendly. Thers ongoing construction on property so under 21 not allowed even though it certinly does not interfere with business. Food trucks, sometimes a German band.

Red Oak Hop Garten Pils. 5.3 abv, and every beer served is into a proper glass for the style.,

Brewed with Barke variety of malt, early and late editions on Noble, Spalt and Saaz hops. Lagered cold for 8 weeks. One of my favorite Pils ever along with Capt Jack from OMB.

I gifted a lot of beer before I left but still wound up bringing a 'few' with me.:stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye: This Short's Woodmaster is at least three years old. I wasn't too fond of it fresh and feared this would be a mess. It's actually quite drinkable. Pecans along with some dark cherry in the finish which may be from the age, but hey, it works.
