Beers to drink when you turn 70?

    Orval is my go too but at $6.95 a pop this year to drink 1 for each year is going to be pricey.
    should I try to brew a clone? or what?
    yea broke in old age...

    thinking maybe
    4 orval
    1 dupont sasion
    2 rochforts
    1 maybe buying a mail order beer, sadly takes to long to get a westy anymore.

    thoughts, and no I hate Almost all IPA's, but anything else could be good, heck who knows?

    At 70 you're approaching senility (like me), so get 10 Orvals and pour each into 7 glasses. You'll never realize the difference. :stuck_out_tongue:

    Happy birthday.

    I am really looking forward to being 70 yo and still be able (or medically allowed) to drink beer.

    I can't remember what beer I drank for my 70th birthday, but it was good (I think).

    I just turned 68, my doc said, "two beers a day is ok", so I switched to Lagunitas bombers. Cheers!

    ...but chances are it'll be much the same as today (i.e., this year) and yesterday (i.e., past years)...

    I like your choices! I save up my pocket change for a few months for the birthday splurge, cash it in and generally go for the Trappistes. You don't like Chimay? Abt 12?

    Still enjoying a wide variety of craft brews at age 73.

    never really enjoyed Chimay that much the tripel is ok. yea Abt 12 I would have seen when I go to total wine...I usually have it at lunch time at euro street at beach(birthdays only) they have it on tap.

    I really do not drink that much anymore. Crazy I do not miss it for a few months then wham I get a craving. Sucks when your a care taker. anyway thanks....the memory is the first to go...

    What is the point of living to a nice age like 70 if you have to quit drinking once you get there?
