    Oh, and I just got stung by a wasp / hornet on my leg, for the 5th time in the past few weeks - I am tired of these pesky fuckers

    Gonna have a few Bocks tonight, the only kind of Lager I actually enjoy. Starting with my favorite Dopplebock, Andechs Doppelbock Dunkel. Is it really better than Celebrator? Hard to say, but I definitely prefer it over Aventinus and Vitus.

    This is quite fascinating. Apparently Ayinger Winter Bock and Celebrator are bottled from the same tank and Winter Bock is just labeled differently during the winter months.

    While the flavour profile is indeed very similar, I will say that Celebrator has the more intense aroma and aftertaste and also a clearly fuller, creamier mouthfeel. According to Ayinger, reportedly, this is due to different oxygen levels in the bottles.
