First time having this one, and gotta say Im loving it.

Magnify does these Heavily Oated Single Hopped Double IPAs called the Dr. Series and this ones called Dr. Motueka of course named after the single hop it's brewed with.

I have had beers brewed with Mouteuka hops before but never a 100% single hopped one.

This ones incredibly smooth and juicy and elegant.

    Cheers!

You are right. I was wrong. Wrong word. Fuck you. And how are you doing my friend? We are at OBX, NC with both kids, one son in law, one granddaughter, and one crazy ass dog.

Thanks @GreenBayBA. This was delicious! Great head retention and dense soapy lacing on the glass. Aromas and flavors of big grapefruit, orange, lemon, peach, pineapple, apricot, mango, melon, citrus peel/rind, light pepper, and pine hops; with balanced caramel, brown sugar, toasted bread, light toffee malt sweetness; and herbal, floral, grassy hop earthiness. Light-moderate pine, citrus peel/rind, herbal, floral, grassy, peppery bitterness on the finish. Medium carbonation and medium-plus body; balanced creamy/bready/grainy malts and sticky hops in the mouthfeel. Some resins/rinds, light-moderate increasing lingering bitter dryness, minimal hop astringency. Very smooth, not overly aggressive, minimal warming 8.2%. Really classic tasting west coast style. Feels like Centennial, Columbus, Chinook, and Amarillo. Very juicy, dank, and earthy balanced hop complexity; great dark/bready malt backbone, not overly sweet/heavy from lingering dryness. Spot on stuff. 3.9

Amazing BSDA! Nice head retention and spotty lacing for the ABV. Aromas and flavors of huge raisin, plum, prune, cherry, fig, date, apricot, red apple, red wine, vanilla, rum, bourbon, toasted oak, caramel, brown sugar, brown bread, biscuit; with lighter notes of coconut, milk chocolate, cocoa, molasses, licorice, sherry, peppercorn, leather, tobacco, herbal, grass, and yeast earthiness. Bit of booze in the aromas as it warms, but not too overwhelming. Light herbal/grass/roasted bitterness and yeast/rum/oak tannin spiciness on the finish. Light-medium carbonation and fairly full body; very creamy/silky/grainy malts; light sticky hops, chalky roast, and bourbon/oak tannins in the mouthfeel. Lightly increasing lightly bitter/tannic dryness, no cloying/astringency. Dangerously smooth sipping. Mild increasing warmth of 14%, minimal barrel booze. Absolutely stellar stuff. Amazing balanced fruity yeast complexity and dark/bready/light roasted malt complexity; with perfect Rum/Bourbon barrel integration. Not overly boozy, tannic, or drying. Will cellar a few more! 4.35

    Bosque's Scale Tipper IPA.

Loving that they went to the 4 pack format for this one. Now they just need to make this available year round. And that they finally dated the can with a "canned on date."

    Sticking with more Can.

Thanks for the kind words my friend ! I wish the few friends I have were as nice as you are ! Enjoy your time at the Outer Banks and take good care of that little grand-daughter !!

I am still sucking air and getting along. Wife is back from L.A. so I am no longer baching it. 3 wks and we leave for N. Cal. for beer, wine and ocean.

I hear ya dude. Had seven skin cancers the last two years. Most of them went well. A simple scoop out. One though required surgery. Six stitches or so. Find out they have to do the surgery again. Did not get out all the bad stuff.

At the risk of whining this was the easy medical stuff.

BTW you and me, I am not enamored with the brews from NC. Maybe I have not had the good ones.

I have already had my first and it doesn’t taste as good as it does in the 50’s. Probably the only Pumkin beer I will purchase. I dig that one a lot!

Dude. In NC this week. Cannot find Burial. Been disappointed in what NC beers I have had so far.

You spoiled me. Sent me too many great NC beers.

I hope all is well with you and your family.

A fairly unique flavor. Reminds me of a gum. A little too sweet fruity for me, but decent.
