    It's been raining since dawn and the only real change out there is the air has gone from being hot to merely warm. At least the overcast let's me think Fall is on the way . . .

    Deep amber gold color with good white cap and lacing.

    Aroma of roast caramel malt and floral hops.

    Taste is malt forward with emphasis on the roastier aspects of the malt. There is a definite undercurrent of roast flavor that while not bitter is on the darker end of the flavor spectrum. Hops are there more as a balancing offset to the malt fullness. No real apparent sweetness yet the brew isn't entirely dry.

    The bottle says West Coast IPA but you referred to it as NE IPA. Just curious if the beer's name was not referencing the style.
