Rookie BIF Round 2 Sign-Up Thread

OK, to spice things up a bit, I'ma start a LIF(Lottery It Forward). If you win, you must start another LIF, using your own parameters.

Anyone who is signed up for NBS BIF 8 is ineligible for this LIF.

This weekend, my local 9, the Seatthole Mariners are facing The Evil Empire in a 3 game set. Clearly, tha Yanquis will win. Make your best guess as to the total runs scored by both teams. Closest answer wins a small box. Entries close at 7pm, Pacific time, Friday.

In case of tie, earliest answer wins.

I think either is fine. If a brewery specializes in one style, you might not want to send 3 similar beers in case your target doesn't appreciate the style; if their offerings are diverse and new to the target, go for it.

 

I agree! And definitely respect the likes and dislikes of your target.

This is a good time to remind folks to update their wants/haves, and to add some details to your profiles about style preferences, shirt size, etc. Definitely not required, but lots of us really enjoy including a shirt or a piece of glassware, sometimes a food item, etc.!

 

Is it cool if I just put my Un tapped handle on the bio? I don’t have any BA beer ticks.

 

Speaking of untappd, I'm probably gonna friend request (or whatever it's called on untappd) everybody here (if I can figure out their untappd name) -- NOT just my target. So feel free to request me -- mikexw in both places.

On that topic - add people to Untappd during sign-ups. If you add just one or two people during Hints & Hauls, they'll always think you're their sender (this was totally the case in my last round of Newbies).

This is also fun for misleading people, FYI.

 

Yes, that's actually why I said this. I think I once posted "I am not untappd friends with my target", then requested everybody, and two days later said "I take that back" and misled a lot of people. Not that I won't find another way to accomplish that...

 

I’m bstoos on both and only check-in beers on one. Feel free to add me, too. I’ll request my target and sender at the end if they don’t do it first.
