@beace is there a calendar page release in the pipeline? I feel like it has been ages since the last one

Currently working through what will probably be my last 6-pack of Hop Ryot. I'll miss this one a lot, even though I'm not surprised to hear it's being discontinued. I've always loved rye IPAs (this one joins the similarly phased out Red's and Ruthless for me) and fresh I preferred Hop Ryot to Mystic until Mystic was reformulated last year. Hopefully it does at least reappear on draft from time to time.

On the plus side, I'm very excited for See Foam. The hop bill seems somewhat similar to Fashinably Late, which was my favorite of the hazy brewpub IPAs I've tried. I was kind of disappointed in the hazy Mandala Citra (mainly because I kept comparing it to the previous version which I loved), but Who Cooks For You? was really good and the recent draft run of it has been even more enjoyable in the summer heat.

We want super low yield, extremely high production cost beers sold to us (but not all of us, just me and my mules) at a really low price.

We will not settle for anything less but the highest quality ingredients, no less than half a dozen imported adjuncts, the best barrels, the longest possible barrel aging and the biggest, bestest ABVs.

I don't see why these demands aren't being met for around $1.50 a bottle. And would it kill them to include a really bad ass Teku with every purchase?

Going through this thread (and I hate to bring this up but...) any update on how the Apple Brandy Dark Apparition bottles are holding up? I've seen reports of bottles going south (I'll avoid using the "I" word) and wondering how prevalent it is. Thinking of setting up a trade for some but wanted to check with you guys first on how it's holding up overall. Any help is appreciated, cheers!

Next Friday is the Appervation release. 12 per person bourbon and only 2 port. They are smartly not doing it across multiple places so people can't double up.

Because 14 total bottles isn’t enough?!

If I go to the neighborhood store? Yes. If I'm making an 8 hour round trip? Maybe. Maybe not.

If you are willing to drive 8 hours round-trip for beer, chances are you don't mind if you're "only" taking home 14 bottles.

I am very happy to hear that they are setting this release up like the Anniversary party. That release had multiple point of sale systems, a separate area where bottle orders were made vs. where they were paid for as well as multiple draft stations to purchase the beer and try it before purchasing bottles.

Not sure if they will have the draft stations again for this event, but even if not the other items should allow for a smoother release then say the first time they released Appervation. Good job Jackie O's.

For an 8 hour round trip I wouldn't be satisfied with anything less but my very own personal batch of beer and a big kiss square on the lips.

And this why it's always been very clear bullshit when hypemongers say that getting to meet new people in line is what it's all really about. If that were actually the case then why are none of them ever happy with one fair share allotment?

Sure, it can be. But people use the defense like it's not.

Anybody know at what temperature they'll be serving the pours of Appervation?

You receive your pour once you get in line, so by the time you get to checkout it's warmed up to proper temperature.
