Picked up some local beer when I spent the weekend in Arkansas. I'm thinking one of these next weekends I need to drive 4 hours north for camping and beer, but mostly the latter.

I didn't review back then, and I shared it at a New Years bottle share, but totally remember being pissed off as the Weltenburger Winter Traum for $3 was light-years better.

Transient Buckley. Big fan of this beer. Probably not the best choice at 14% since I have the kids by myself tonight, but you can’t even taste it:stuck_out_tongue: Cheers to the weekend BA!

    Doing well, thanks for asking.

I've been doing a lot of reviewing in the background. My main store here has a Shelton Brothers account which is nice but it's "costing me a lot of money"(in my best Mr Krabs voice)

I do need to interject myself more on WBAYDN threads and NBS. We shall see.

Shelton puts a hurtin' on the ol' bank account. That's a fact.

Just had a glass of red wine. It was good. Better be. Cost $80 a bottle. Yours truly did not buy it.

    Back to beer.

That might be enough happy outta you. Get back to abductions and thought-provoking life/death situations about beer. Not stated in an art director voice at all...

    Nice doodle, though!

I think the latter thread would appreciate your input, at least. Just guessing.

Very good Pre-Pro lager. Nice head retention/spotty lacing on the glass. Aromas and flavors of cracker, corn, white bread dough, and lightly toasted biscuit malts; with moderate herbal, floral, grassy, peppery hops. A bit fruit/yeasty aromas, but not overwhelming. Light-moderate herbal, floral, grassy, peppery bitterness on the finish. Medium-plus carbonation, light-medium body, and moderately crisp/clean finishing. Balanced bready/grainy malt and sticky hops in the mouthfeel. Light-moderate increasing bitter/carbonated dryness. Minimal hop astringency. Very clean lagering, minimal fruity/yeasty. Very flavorful/refreshing, 4.3%. Not watery. Very clean and nicely rich barely/grain flavors, with plenty of earthy hop presence for the style. Not overdone on adjuncts, would have preferred it be a little less hoppy. 3.78

Thanks @GreenBayBA. Very good Scottish export. Great head retention/soapy lacing. Flavors of caramel, brown sugar, brown bread dough, toasted biscuit, and nutty malts; with lighter notes of toffee, roast; plum, pear, red apple yeast; and herbal, floral, grassy peppery hops and yeast earthiness. Similar/muted aromas, a bit more fruit/yeasty, but not overdone. Light herbal, floral, grassy, peppery hop; and roasted bitterness on the finish. Light-medium carbonation and body; creamy/bready/grainy malts; light sticky hops, and chalky roast in the mouthfeel. A bit thin, but not watery. Lightly increasing lingering bitter dryness, no cloying/astringency. Very flavorful and pretty refreshing, 4.7%. Very minimal flaws, hits everything expected for the style. Not sure about that 2.97 overall rating lol. Very clean and nicely rich malt complexity; restrained fruity yeast and balancing earthy hops. 3.73

End of the week dinner with the family at Tired Hands Fermenteria. Pretty empty so far and the fresh hop Pale Ale is drinking nice.
