I haven’t gotten a Barrier ipa in a bit and I hate to say it, but this is really nothing special. They’ve all been tasting really similar to me, yeast maybe?

I had one of those cravings earlier for a normal goddamn stout, and thankfully this one was waiting for me-

surprisingly complex for a lower-gravity beer (5.5%), smooth as velvet, with a nice little crisp bitter kick at the end. Just what I needed- thanks IA!

So I'm pre-gaming for tomorrow night for when I bring a couple of teenagers into Central Park to see Mac DeMarco. I gotta tell ya, judging by the contact high these tunes are giving me right now, everything's gonna wind up being really groovy- I can just feel it!

Brouwerij Het Anker Cuvée Van De Keizer Blauw, 11% ABV. Pours dark brown, with a 2+ finger beige foamy head that left lots of lacing. Nose is sweet dark fruit and slight alcohol, taste follows with almost no bitterness. Outstanding thick mouthfeel, overall phenomenal. This has to be one of the best beers I've ever had.

 

I've felt the same way for a while and haven't bought any in a couple of months.

I made a 2 ingredient dough pizza with caramelized onions. The pizza was delish the beer was awesome. Does Singlecut make a bad beer?
