Excellent milkshake sour as expected. Fantastic head retention/lacing on the glass. Aromas and flavors of big juicy/tart/tangy blueberries, raspberries, fruit skin/seeds, lime, lemon, pear, red/green apple, melon, red grape, hay, and grass; with moderate vanilla, cream, wheat, cracker, biscuit malts; light lacto/Brett funk, and yeast earthiness. Light fruity/lactic tartness and fruit tang on the finish. Medium carbonation/body; creamy/silky/grainy malt mouthfeel; light acidity and fruit tang. Lightly increasing acidic/tangy fruit dryness. Very flavorful/refreshing 4.5%. Great jammy fruit notes, balanced milkshake-like sweetness; and solid Brett/lacto complexity like the rest. Very consistently delicious variations. 4.03

Brandy barrel edition. 5 years age. Wax got a bit brittle. This was amazing! Awesome head retention/lacing for the ABV. Flavors of huge raisin, plum, prune, cherry, fig, date, apricot, red apple, orange zest, currant, red grape, brandy, caramel, brown sugar, toffee, vanilla, oak, brown bread, toasted biscuit, and nuttiness; with lighter notes of molasses, licorice, chocolate, cocoa, leather, tobacco, herbal, floral, grass, and yeast earthiness. A bit more fruity/yeasty aromas, touch of booze as it warmed. Mild herbal/roast bitterness and brandy/oak tannin spiciness on the finish. Light-medium carbonation and very full body; very creamy, silky, velvety mouthfeel. Slight slickness, sticky hops, chalky roast, and oak tannins. Lightly increasing lingering bitter/tannin dryness, zero cloying sweetness. Mildly increasing warmth of 15%, no barrel booze. Dangerously smooth sipping. These MFers age so beautifully every time. I always have aged the BBA distro versions at least 2 years in the past. Amazing balance of rich malts and fruity yeast; with perfect brandy barrel integration. Not overly sweet/heavy for the ABV. Just wonderful, as I expected. 4.38

Still has good carbonation, a hint of oxidation, still hot. Trails like bourbon.

My father was a fan of Burt Reynolds so I was too. Cheers, all.

Messed up my beers calculations. Bought a four pack of Wicked Weed Pernicious IPA. That combined with a few cold Heinekens should do it. Wrong. I drank two Pernicious. Daughter #2 and son in law drank the other two. Drank the cold Heinekens. No other cold beer so wine (more precisely whine) time.

@scream wish I had my favorite bourbon.

Burt was the man. I'll never forget my entire surroundings and situation the first time I saw Smokey & The Bandit. Or the first time I saw Deliverance. For some reason I don't remember the furst time I saw Boogie Nights. That one with Demi was good too, lots of Eurythmics.

My first wet hopped beer of the season, La Cumbre's Wet Hopped Elevated IPA. First sip in and the alcohol is quite present, bit of a buzzkill.

Bought at Alchemist yesterday so maybe 2-3 days in the can... awesome, but I can't wait to "crush" a couple of " Crusher's" tomorrow night at home.

You would know where to still buy milk in cartons.

I hope they're from 1986 and they poison you.

Ayinger is clearly the darker than Weihenstephaner. I like the stronger malt profile on the Ayinger of the two.

A short week and now off for three days...beer time!!!

I revisited this one and bumped up my initial ratings. This time the look, taste, and mouthfeel components all seemed to come together, truer to style. My overall rating climbed from a 3.65 to 3.85. Huh, the more I drink this beer, the more I like it...

I just saw the news when I grabbed my phone to take my beer picture. It is quite unfortunate.
