    Yes I am a sucker for Founders, even after Barrel Runner I will seek this out

    Was really hoping it'd land here ystrdy.

    That said, a Spec's source that usually gives me good info said itll hit next week - either Monday or Friday (at the downtown store).

    Landed in Dallas in abundance this week. Pretty good beer. Likely to get better with age.

    Haha, Barrel Runner was horrible. Absolutely the worst beer I’ve had this year.

    I, too, am a sucker for Founders. Love everything they do. Barrel Runner...well, Barrel Runner was the only time I've bought beer from them that I was glad I only had a single of.

    Never by Barrel Aged IPA’s Crew. And it doesn’t even matter who makes them. Signed Avery and Founders Barrel junkie.

    Barrel aged IPAs are - at best - never worth writing home about.

    I've had some barrel aged IPAs that I've enjoyed. Admittedly, they were borderline barleywines.

    One that comes to mind was Karbach's Clown Lounge (BBA Rodeo Clown).

    Additionally, bourbon barrels, I think are best for BBA IPA, or a barrel that didn't previously hold a spirit (neutral oak?).

    hm i always pretty much thought of Rodeo Clown as a light Barely Wine. Not to be drunk if you didn't like a malt forward beer

    Agree, for sure. But "Double IPA" sells better than barleywine.
