[IMG] Busy day, 2 kids soccer practices, a baseball game, and heading to Boston with my brother and our sons to watch Sox vs Astro’s at Fenway. Yard House for a late lunch, cheers all. This is a really good coffee stout.

Good morning BA, have a great Saturday.

Fantastic DIPA again this year, glad it returned. Aromas and flavors of big grapefruit, tangerine, pineapple, peach, mango, apricot, passion fruit, papaya, melon, berry, lemon/orange peel, light pepper, and pine hops; with moderate honey, caramel, toasted bread malts; and herbal, floral, grassy hop earthiness. Light-moderate pine, citrus peel/rind, herbal, grassy, spicy bitterness on the finish. Medium carbonation and medium-full bodied; balanced creamy/bready malts and sticky hops in the mouthfeel. Some resins and increasing bitter dryness, no hop astringency. Mildly warming 8%, dangerously smooth. Super juicy and fairly dank hop complexity; nice bready malt backbone, with mild lingering sweetness. Tastes the same as I remember, but a bit less aggressively bitter/drying. Great Mosaic hop showcase. Last of the 6 pack.

Fantastic! Aromas and flavors of huge caramel, toffee, brown sugar, molasses, brown bread, raisin, plum, prune, fig, date, cherry, sherry, apple, bourbon, and toasted oak; with lighter notes of leather, tobacco, chocolate, vanilla, and coconut. Light herbal bitterness and bourbon/oak spiciness against sweetness on the finish. Light-medium carbonation and very full bodied. Creamy, silky, slick, and lightly syrupy mouthfeel; some bourbon/oak tannins and increasing dryness. Very smooth sipper, mildly increasing warmth of 14%, minimal barrel booze. Still not blowing me away, but it's an outstanding English Barleywine all around. Perfectly balanced fruity yeast, rich malts, and bourbon barrels. My reviews reflect that I was more impressed with the base beer actually. Will still gladly buy more next release. English barleywines are my favorite style, and this just completely hits the spot. Very well worth the price.

Been really into Dragonforce lately. Was my first favorite Power Metal band back in high school with the Sonic Firestorm album, but I basically forgot about them after that for some reason.

Fatamorgana quad dry hopped. This was fantastic. Aromas and flavors of big tangerine, orange juice, grapefruit, lemon, peach, pear, pineapple, passion fruit, papaya, mango, melon, berry, citrus peel/rind, light pepper, and pine hops; with moderate wheat, cracker, white bread dough, light honey malts; and herbal, floral, grassy hop earthiness. Light pine, citrus peel/rind, herbal, grassy, peppery bitterness on the finish. Medium carbonation and medium-plus body; creamy/bready/grainy malts, some sticky hops, and light resins/rinds in the mouthfeel. Lightly increasing lingering bitter dryness, minimal hop astringency. Dangerously smooth for 8%, almost refreshing. Great soft feel. I reviewed the base beer 4 years ago, this did not blow me away as much. All Citra, Centennial, and CTZ hops. Super juicy, vibrant, and fairly dank/earthy balanced hop complexity; with a nice bready wheat/oat/malt backbone, and minimal residual sweetness from lingering dryness. Delicious spot on NEIPA style. Base beer was probably the first NEIPA I ever had, so having others over time probably shifted the opinion down. Will have to find the regular one again.

Mind blowing amazing as usual. Flavors of huge milk/dark chocolate, cocoa, coffee, vanilla, maple syrup, marshmallow, molasses, toffee, fudge, whiskey, toasted oak, coconut, dark bread, and light spicy rye/smoke. Light roast bitterness and rye whiskey/oak spice on the finish. Very full bodied creamy, silky, velvety, rich mouthfeel. Minimal chalky roast, oak tannin, or dryness. Insanely smooth, perfectly balanced barrel and malt complexity. Mildy warming 11%, with zero barrel booze. I still love the regular Hipster Brunch, but this is a whole other level of amazing. Not sure how many I have left, but it's not much. Really depleted my Odd Sides BA stash with trades earlier in the year.

Soft and easy this morning with a nice Chocolate Stout.
Still just a tad woozy from last night's Firestone Walker tapping... sampled the latest Luponic (excellent), Doublus (meh, too sweet), and their quite interesting Undercurrants (currants, plus Brett, plus sour effect - delicious). BA Velvet Merkin was also really interesting, like drinking Jack & Coke in a beer. *hic* Cheers all!

Easily one of Stone's best for the year - it's not saying too much, but it's nice to see them getting back on track with the past few of their releases.

Reddish tinted gold color with white cap.

Sharp, sour, acetic aroma which opens up to reveal some ripe berry tones.

Taste is sharp and acetic at first then quickly devolving into something nicely berryish. Don't quite know what to make of it as it's a sour that's not really sour and a berry flavored brew that isn't really strongly berry flavored. It is well put together as the relatively simple flavors do work well together without clashing. I think I would've preferred a stronger berry influence.

Mild to mid sort of texture with balancing carbonation.

If the brewer was looking for balance they achieved it and the result is pleasant if unremarkable.
