Brown Ales are my least favorite style, but when something is added to them count me in. This is Rickity Cricket from Pizza Boy, which is a Brown Ale with lactose added and rested on roasted coffee beans:

Currently working but my shift ends in 2 hours and I'm going to a housewarming afterwards so it seems like a good time to have a few beers. Starting off a bit dark with a straight forward brown ale from Dry & Bitter Brewing. Cheers!

 

Afternoon and morning, BA. Managed to get through a morning of errands with a 9 month old boy baby bjorned to my chest without incident. Now it’s nap time. Perhaps for both of us.

I am a great big fan of this series. First time with this one which has soft tropical and stone fruit, dry grassyness with some more bitter lemon rind notes as well. Excellent IPA.

Lunch was good but the beer was better . . .




Clear light gold color with World Class white cap and lacing.

Aroma of mild malt with floral, spicy hops.

Taste on entry is mildly malty with hops arriving early and staying for the duration. Conceptually this is a European Lager brewed on the milder side yet nicely hopped in a clean, bittering way. A rich nuttiness emerges in the aftertastes and I get nothing but goodness from this cup.

Medium texture with balancing carbonation.

A very pleasing traditional Lager with Dortmunder style hopping that comes across as floral and spicy with a definite bitter kick at the finish. Well, a kick in the tasting sense, physically it's more of a slight nudge.

 

Batch 4 Consecration
