Good morning BA, have a great Sunday. Not much going on, another normal Sunday with bottle returns, laundry, and a grocery run later on. Been a nice cooler weekend for a change.

Amazing IPA as always. Aromas and flavors of big grapefruit, tangerine, lemon, peach, apricot, mango, citrus peel/rind, pepper, and pine hops; with moderate honey, toasted bread malts; and herbal, floral, grassy hop earthiness. Moderate pine, citrus peel/rind, herbal, grassy, spicy bitterness on the finish. Medium carbonation/body; balanced creamy/bready malt and sticky/resinous/rindy hops in the mouthfeel. Light-moderate increasing resin dryness, no hop astringency. Very drinkable and not overly aggressive. Even with the new hops they added for the 1.1 version, it still tastes like the original Chinook/Centennial hop profile the most. Perfectly balanced juicy and dank hop complexity; with a nice solid malt backbone. A true classic IPA. Pretty much just as impressive as the first time I reviewed it over 6 years ago. A lot easier to find fresh recently, I'll keep buying them. Price is hard to beat for 16 oz cans, same with the Arrogant Bastard.

This was amazing! Flavors of huge milk/dark chocolate, cocoa, coffee, caramel, brown sugar, maple syrup, molasses, vanilla, toffee, bourbon, marshmallow, fudge, brownie batter, toasted oak, nuttiness, and dark bread; with light notes of coconut, raisin, plum, fig, smoke, leather, and tobacco. Similar aromas, but lacking intensity. Very mild roast bitterness and bourbon/oak spiciness on the finish. Light-medium carbonation and very full body; with a very creamy, silky, velvelty, and rich mouthfeel that is amazing. Slight chalky roast, oak tannins, and increasing dryness. No cloying sweetness. Mildly warming 10.7%, no barrel booze. Dangerously smooth sipper. Evil Twin continues to just nail everything they put in a barrel. Both of the BBA Biscottis are in my top 20. This has super rich malt complexities, with perfect barrel integration. Not overly roasty/charred on malts; with minimal tannic/boozy barrel notes. Price did not deter me at all, I'd do it again. I knew it would be worth it. Hope we see the banana one soon, don't think it is barrel aged though.

A question for you @superspak . When you post here, do you only review beers that you really like, or do you happen to have a very wide appreciation of all beers? I'm asking because you seem to enjoy every beer you share with us here and I have yet to see you talk about beers that you didn't like much.

I personally "really" like less than half the beers I drink. The rest are just OK, drinkable, or outright horrible.

    Cheers.

    1: I appreciate all styles.
2: I do new beer reviews mostly in the evening, and you obviously have never see any of those. Morning posts are beers I already know I love....

Gotcha. It is true that I don't check this thread later in the day on most days. I love your style of detailed reviewing and I was curious about the things you don't like. Cheers!

    Prairie - Vape Tricks

Starting with some eye-opening juice. Very sour and fruity. Viscous yet nicely carbonated. I'm loving what Prairie is doing with their cans and I'm glad to see a lot of them enter the SE Pennsylvania market

Excellent stuff! Haven't had it in a few years, glad for some Bruery cans now. Aromas and flavors of big vanilla, cinnamon, wheat, honey, cracker, and cream; with light nuttiness and herbal/grassy spice earthiness. Mild herbal/spice bitterness on the finish. Medium carbonation and light-medium body; creamy/silky lactose, grainy malt, and light sticky spice in the mouthfeel. Lightly increasing lingering spice dryness. No cloying. Very smooth and pretty refreshing for 7.2%. Not overly sweet. Spot on representation of Horchata as a beer. Spot on base blonde ale as well. Will have to pick up some Mischief cans next time.

Fantastic TIPA! Aromas and flavors of huge grapefruit, tangerine, lemon, orange juice pulp, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, papaya, mango, melon, berry, citrus peel/zest, and light pepper/pine hops; with moderate honey, wheat, toasted biscuit malt sweetness; and herbal, floral, grassy hop earthiness. Touch of booze in the aromas as it warms, but not overwhelming. Very mild pine, zesty, herbal, grassy bitterness on the finish. Medium carbonation and medium-full body; very creamy/silky/bready malt mouthfeel, with slight sticky hops. Slightly increasing lingering bitter and spicy alcohol dryness. Lightly increasing warmth of 12%, touch of booze well after the finish. Dangerously smooth, awesome soft feel for the style. Definitely probably Centennial, Cascade, Citra, and Amarillo. Insanely juicy/pulpy hops; awesome malt balance, not overly sweet/heavy for the ABV. They almost always nail these hop series NEIPAs.

    First rate eye opener . . .

Light hazy gold color with bountiful white cap and lacing.

Aroma of piney, citrusy hops with a definite leaning toward the sharper edge of citrus.

Taste brings forth the full effect of brewing with and dry hopping with copious quantities of hops yet things stay well balanced. There's no lack of malt backbone yet that just serves as the solid foundation for the hop edifice. I get a variety of hop flavors, sharp yet full, citrus yet not overripe fruit, some spicy almost herbal undertones, all served up with a burst of clean freshness that is surprisingly complex and very rewarding. In short, a stunner of a brew.

I am celebrating my dad's birthday with him, as we share this unique and delicious stout from Junkyard brewing in Moorhead, MN. Thank you, @AdmiralOzone! My dad played football at Minnesota State Moorhead, so he was very excited to try this beer. My dad lived in Minnesota his whole life until we moved to Wisconsin when I was very young. He has taught me about the horrors of being a lifelong Minnesota Vikings fan, as he looks forward to another disappointing season.
