Kane Brewing (September/October 2018)

The impression I got on Galaxy punch was there is so much guava juice. Whether that would fade or not, who knows. It almost overshadows the galaxy hop flavor profile. If you don't like guava, you ain't gonna like this one.

 

@glennl its been awesome having Morning Bell on tap for so long at the brewery. Was this all from one big batch or have you been brewing it consistently? Thanks!

 

The Galaxy Punch is definitely fruity but it has the hop thing too. It might be a bit green as was mentioned. Dig the Morning Bell sample and yes Kane was busy but it was easy to buy cans and a flight.

 

What’d you think of MB w vanilla? Last time it was on tap I had a 4 oz and I didn’t get any vanilla at all but would have liked to try it next to base MB.

 

It was good but I didn’t think it was crazy good or anything. I don’t think vanilla ever improves the taste of a beer. I usually think it gives it more of an artificial flavor. But I like Morning Bell so happy to have it.

 

I'd agree, I actually like regular Morning Bell better, I drink my coffee black and really like how coffee forward Morning Bell is. The vanilla adds an interesting element, but it covers up a lot of the coffee flavor. Still good, but again I prefer regular Morning Bell.

 

Galaxy punch is a miss for me and that’s tough for me to say since I loved all the other punches. Zero hop presence and the guava is a little harsh. I’m hoping it will taste better with some time.

 

I don't think many people here would questions how good and well made a beer like head high is but here's some more proof. My dad tends to buy beer and never drink it or let it sit for a long time, he had a couple cans of head high canned April 20 something, if you just poured this for me and didn't tell me its age I tell you it was relatively fresh. Yes all things are better fresh but it had every aspect that I love of head high still alive and well, pretty amazing stuff.

I honestly thing the act that no variants and it’s a straight up barrel beer we’ll make people less crazy to get it. Specifically the Instagram generation of beer drinker. I guess we’ll find out tomorrow. My only challenge is making sure my students are taking their quiz right before 12 so I’m good to go : )

Whoa. Easier than I thought to get the set!

 

Got the Rye set, hope everyone got what they wanted!

 

rye set timed out and i didnt get it but got the normal set. I am fine with it, would have liked to try the rye, maybe there will be extra

Could you both? I thought its one or the other? what happens if both orders go through?

Got the 2 bottle set. If you blinked you missed the Rye set. I've been meaning to head back to Kane, so I guess this is as good an excuse as any.
