Getting to the end of my Virginia stash, Maoritanga DIPA from Commonwealth, still packed with a ton of citrus.

Always a hard day around here. I still have a hard time watching the remembrances on television. It’s kinda weird for me, it’s my first Sept 11 not in Manhattan since the attacks. So many crappy memories of that day so I’ll post one of the only good ones I have from that period of time.

Jesus...posts in a row two days in a row? I feel like this year’s is a little hotter than usual but it’s still as delicious as always. See you all on the other side.
Thanks @utopiajane for saving me from the back-to-back

I ran 100 flights of steps this morning remembering 9-11 rescuers and the fallen... the smoke plumes were visible from the steps I ran on.
This is a most local brew [IMG]

    Good morning BA
    Having some coffee this morning...

Picked this up with NBS in mind, but too many new beers on hand to hold out. A little watery, but an ok coffee stout. Cheers all!
I almost forgot. Mrs. JKBLR met some coworkers at Old Chicago last night and Sam Adams was doing a promo for Oktoberfest. She won the stein holding competition and prizes which included this glass and a goofy hat. Funny stuff.

    Basic beer morning . . .

Beautiful clear amber gold color with good white cap and lacing.

Aroma of rich, caramel malt with floral, spicy hops.

Taste is malt forward in a full sense, being malt rich in a caramely, roasty way yet not leaning toward heaviness or sweetness. I get some undercurrent of roasted malt but no roast bitterness. A layer of bittering hops ride on top cutting the malt richness and leaving a clean, refreshing hop bite in the aftertaste which sort of cleans things up resolving on a nice note.

    Medium texture with balancing carbonation.

A traditional Amber that doesn't wander off into sweetness. Not sure why but I'm thinking hearty German style food as a match.

I finally (to my wife's great delight) got the treadmill put together.
Then once I did, I felt obligated to give it a test run.
This is the perfect post-exercise beer:

It's a rainy and cloudy day in Copenhagen so its finally looking like stout weather. But I'm starting off a bit lighter before moving to the heavier stuff.

Insetto from Stillwater Artisanal, a 5% ABV american sour brewed with (Italian?) plums. It's sour, as expected, but refreshing and light. Not the best sour I've ever had but it's quite alright. Cheers and happy Tuesday!

I am officially down to zero customers at the bar and there's still 6 hours left of my shift so I figured I might as well get started on some stouts while I have the time.

I've posted this before not too long ago but it's just so incredibly delicious. Marshmallow Psycho from Amundsen Bryggeri, a 12.3% BA Imperial Stout.
