So how many of you guys got the golden ticket into the ultra exclusive secret society this brewery promised to all you lemmings for doing their dirty work for them.

I am kind of annoyed at how that was handled. If they were going to do that they should have never mentioned it.

You got one for me? I can also drink from any other local brewery that is actually open, or maybe my FO’s that I bought online and didn’t require me to waste 12 hours.

Apparently we value our time differently. I like doing anything but waiting in line, you like waiting in lines.

man im kinda glad about this. there so much FO out there right now and ive been drinking alot of it. i was thinking i really want to try this beer, but reading this thread id rather just keep drinking the beers i got easy access to that are also high level beers


one thing i dont understand is why would they release this beer if they only had 100 bottles?

Bottle logic recently released a stasis beer on tap only because the yield wasn't enough for a proper bottling, im sure a lot of other breweries have done the same.


100 bottles just sounds like a bad idea (well i guess if they had a club than maybe, like horus is doing)

 

They admitted they had quite a bit more, but were holding it back. Artificial scarcity to help increase hype for the new guys on the block. Makes sense to do it.

Agreed - I didn't bother with the official release, but recently picked up a bottle at a local shop (and there were at least 3 more), which was really nice. Maybe we'll find Faha on the shelves at our local bottle shops one of these days, or even better, Trader Joes!

So, all the hype, event/release nonsense, etc. aside... did ANYONE get the invite for their membership, and/or did they provide any details about said membership on Saturday?

The email they sent said this

"We have been asked about a membership program and how one can become of the member of the brewery. As our way to show appreciation for attending and supporting our first release, those who are lined up, we be selected at random to be part of our membership crew."

The reality was they will randomly pick from a list that doesn't prioritize people who went to the release. Also, they even said that some people may be approached during the event and offered memberships. I don't know if anyone was actually selected (didn't stay that long) but it basically left it open for them to pick and choose. It'd probably be fine, but seems like that's something you do behind closed doors instead of trying to make people feel like they have to "earn" it somehow.

 

I'm just glad we have good stouts in SoCal now. Thanks 3 Chiefs!
