Anybody know the release dates for any winter warmers this year? Specifically Old Jubilation by Avery. Would also be cool to find a year round warmer beer.

Odell's Isolation Ale comes out in October.

Only winter warmer that matters to me. Not a style I like, but I love that beer.

Anchor OSA considered a winter warmer? I've got a soft spot for that beer

I think so. Most style descriptions say that some are spiced.

Personally, I'm all about GD's Hibernation. That beer has been better than ever for the last year or two.

Christmas Ales are considered winter warmers but tend to have more spice variation than Old Ales. Will keep an eye out for that one around Christmas!
Thanks. Hibernation is now on my bucket list this year!

Anyone tried old stock ale by north coast?

Yes. One of my favorites! I like old ales in general.

Sammy Smith Winter Welcome comes out in late Dec, I think.

But for Pete's sake, it's still Summer! You should be drinking pumpkin beers ....

Good point. Mostly enjoy old ales when I don't feel like drinking alot. I tend to get sloshed rather easily when I'm drinking other beers. But there's nothing more blissful than drinking a winter while watching it dump outside.

Dump Outside? What part of Colorado do you live? It doesn’t snow in the Front Range anymore. In fact, I don’t think it snows in most parts of Colorado anymore. Here’s to A Good Snow Year, we certainly need it!!

Ft Collins brewing had the malt monsters olde ale that was phenomenal. R.I.P.

Nothing about anything in that series was phenomenal IMO. Fort Collins Brewery was mostly meh, trending towards garbage, and the Olde Ale I had was an infected mess.

FCB could never make up their mind what they wanted to be. They'd bounce between a German line-up, English line-up, 90's brewpub line-up, trendy line-up, etc. on a whim. Their quality was up and down depending on that focus, too. I'll miss some of what they did and wish good riddance to just as much if not more. They had a pretty wicked Malt Monsters Barleywine at one point, but I don't know if it even saw a second batch.

Back to Winter Warmers, that's one of those areas where CO does really well. Hibernation, Old Jubilation, and Isolation are quite the 3-headed monster for traditional versions. Breck's Autumn and Christmas Ale were always surprisingly good, too. Upslope's covers the spiced side of things. New Belgium has a pretty mean BSD (when they actually release it), too.

I don't think Wyoming brews a Winter Warmer or...I've had one and forgotten aboot it or...I haven't had one that's currently brewed.

    Love the Hibernation and Isolation.

I believe Upslope has retired their Christmas Ale. Sad! Hopefully they bring it back in the future.

That kinda sucks. The Bull & Bush Yule Fuel might be the only one of those heavily spiced winter beers coming out of CO now. I love that beer, but I can only handle it in small doses. With Upslope's I can put down a full no problem.

WHAT?!?! This sucks. Definitely a go-to for me during the winter, along with Old Jub and Isolation.

I was so upset to read this so I messaged Upslope on Facebook to see if it's true. Waiting for a reply.

Spruce Tip IPA replaces Christmas Ale but the Wild Christmas is being released again.

    Oops ^
