Edit option gone?

    It's probably just me being dense, but I think the edit ability on posts has been removed. For whatever reason, I haven't been able to edit posts on either my phone or machine recently.

    There's a 15 min window to edit, and certain trading forums allow for unlimited editing.

    Yes, but, the last couple of weeks, I haven't even been able to correct spelling errors, especially on my phone. Again, it's likely me being dense, but the edit option isn't even showing, even when I go to "tools", which has been my crutch.

    If it's working for everybody but me, OK, it's me. Shrug. Technology and I aren't the best of friends.

    What phone, and what browser? Try a different browser. Same on your "machine", what OS and what browser? First thing to try when a web page doesn't behave as expected is to try another browser. Also, if you haven't, try logging out and back in to BA.

    I just made a post 3 minutes ago and the edit button is gone, I have noticed the same thing.

    Two minutes and edit button still visible beneath this post.

    Four minutes and edit button still visible beneath this post.

    Nine minutes and edit Button still visible.

    My cookies don't work at all on my I phone, it's ok on my pad. That pops up and lasts for months then it goes away. Why? Damn if I know, I've had it looked at and they just shrug their shoulders.

    I just analyzed both of your user permissions and everything looks OK. Could be a compatibility issue on your end, but I'll do a little more digging on our end.

    Huh on one post I had an edit option, on the other, no edit just a delete cancel. Both were done within minutes of each other. My post above still has edit there, on the Halle Berry thread there's not.

    This is very helpful. It appears that the issue was isolated to a single permission setting in the Trading forums. Try refreshing that Halle Berry thread and see if the option to edit your post is there now.
