I too have not had Babysitter so I will need to abstain as well.

I do enjoy drinking Boat beer!

I haven’t had babysitter but IMO:

1. Sneakbox
2. Boat
3. Low Visibility

 

Magnify's version of Boat was actually called The Friend Zone. Had both side by side and Boat was much better.

 

I wasn’t all that impressed with Friend Zone. Babysitter was good although I haven’t had this release. I do enjoy Low Vis more than Boat.

 

Let me apologize upfront for the diversion here: I had my first Kane beer last evening – Blue Hotel IPA. I had it on draft. That beer was quite ugly in appearance (not a big deal in today’s craft beer scene) but that beer had a significant hop burn to it. I only drank half of that pint,

I hope that my next Kane drinking experience is better.

As someone from NJ I feel like this is controversial but I actually don't really like Boat beer (or most of Cartons hoppy beers for that matter). Sneakbox is easily the best sessionable beer from NJ.

 

I like boat best but next would be sneakbox and throw in cape may always ready also

 

Seriously GTFO with Magnify. Their beers are fine but don't belong in the conversation with the big boys.

I prefer boat over sneakbox, but it is very close for me. The reason I like boat is I get less overwhelmed by hops, as opposed to sneak. Boat finishes cleaner. But sneak is amazing flavor for a small beer.

Though I imagine more people prefer sneakbox because of the style.

 

That's surprising to hear, as my experience with Kane has been the complete opposite. In fact, they are one of the few breweries that if I see one of their beers on tap I will probably order it without any prior knowledge of the beer. The quality of their beer is usually top notch. Seems like the one you had was an outlier.

 

I sure hope that is the case. I actually had a 4-pack of a Kane beer (IPA) in my hands earlier today. I put it back down and purchased a 4-pack of Carton 077XX instead.

I will have to give Kane another try someday.

Definitely give them another shot.

 

Assuming you are talking about Kane Head High. Both that and 077xx are excellent. I would probably give the slight edge to Head High but you really can't go wrong with either. That's a win-win situation in my book. Enjoy!
