My understanding is that it is base beer they've already brewed and put in barrels for awhile, basically instead of making one of their normal lineup BA beers, they let members pick the adjuncts. Not sure of the exact amount of time, but it is on par with the same amount of time any of their BA beers spend in the barrel.

Finback released their barrel-aged BQE stout in an Apple Brandy variant back in early 2016. BQE is great, and I really enjoyed the variant. May still have 1 bottle (can check next weekend if you want), although I might have sent my last bottle in the 12 days of xmas BIF.

If you can get your hands on it go for it. BQE is the best NYC stout, but lack of buzz makes it easier to trade for.

If you do still have a bottle - yes, would definitely love to arrange a trade with you. Thanks for this, and let me know - thanks, man!

According to a gentleman who works for Prairie AB Noir is being released again. Looking like it should be the end of the year around the same time all the Dawgs AB beers are ready.

This would be fantastic. The 2016 run is getting more and more difficult to find.

Prairie is also doing AB Bomb and AB Paradise this year, brewery only releases, but as much as they offered members sounds like there is going to be a lot of it.

Don't know how I've missed this thread. I love AB aged stouts. I've been able to trade for 3 AB Noirs over the years and love it everytime. The only other AB stout I've had is Jackie O's DB Oil of Aphrodite. Also an excellent beer. Think it was released back in April. Brewery only release, but I'd imagine a trade for one is fairly obtainable.

AB Huna in the growler from way back was the best I have ever had. The 750 bottles on the other hand were oxidized messes both times I had them.

Boy the dbh b2 I had was incredible. Highly variable. I think something like this is such a roll of the dice. Hope you get lucky.

I have to agree with the AB Noir, kind of surprised all of us last share and was one of the best that we opened. Hardywood as well, as the op mentioned, the Trickery and AB GBS are really well done but I think the sweet milk stouts pair well with the brandy barrels.

No limits on the Apple Brandy beers available to Prairie Members today. Should be plenty available when it is released.
