What beer are you drinking now? #2155

Sounds like lack of competition. I bought four Veil IPA/DIPA 4 packs on Tuesday. Three were less than $15. Just one was $21. Bought two different Triple Crossing DIPAs today. One was $17.50. The other $17. I feel I got my money's worth.

 

No Friday doodle? All is lost. I have no idea what the hell to do with my life now, Gym. That's it. I quit. It's been fun BA.

Last one in the exact opposite weather of when I bought it. I guess I should feel lucky to not live in areas effected by Hurricanes. Reading book 3 of the red rising series. Why'd I start reading another unfinished series?

 

Hope things aren't too bad when it's done. Mother Nature can be a Nast bitch.

 

Not quite up to snuff for me. Too lightly done though very smooth.

Red Brick Station 16 Rye Lager. Then a Mispillion River Not Today Satan.

 

Excellent as usual. Nice head retention/lacing. Aromas and flavors of big juicy/tart/tangy cherries, pomegranate, cranberry, strawberry, fruit skin, black currant, lemon, pear, green apple, melon, red grape, hay, and grass; with moderate vanilla, cream, wheat, cracker, biscuit malts; light lacto/brett funk, and yeast earthiness. Light fruity/lactic tartness and fruit tang on the finish. Medium carbonation/body, and fairly crisp finishing. Creamy/bready wheat/lactose; some lactic acid and fruit tang/tannins in the mouthfeel. Light-moderate increasing acidic/tangy fruit dryness, no pucker. Very flavorful/refreshing, 4.5%. Not overly lactic. This one was a bit more tart/tangy/drying than others with all the dark fruits, but just as impressive. Nicely jammy fruit, balanced milkshake-like sweetness; and solid Brett/lacto complexity like the rest. Love it. 4

Aromas and flavors of big juicy/tart/tangy raspberry, pomegranate, cranberry, strawberry, fruit skin/seeds, lemon, lime, orange, grapefruit, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, papaya, mango, melon, citrus peel/rind, green tea, light pepper, and pine hops; with moderate cracker, white bread dough malts; and herbal, floral, grassy hop earthiness. Light-moderate pine, citrus peel/rind, herbal, floral, grassy, peppery bitterness; and light fruit tang/tartness on the finish. Medium-plus carbonation, medium body, and fairly crisp finishing. Balanced bready/grainy malts, sticky/resinous/rindy hops; and light fruit tang/tannin/acidity in the mouthfeel. Light-moderate increasing bitter/resin dryness, minimal hop astringency. Very smooth, not overly aggressive, minimal warming 6%. Really big fan. Great balance of jammy fruits and juicy/dank/earthy hop complexity; nice bready malt backbone, with no residual sweetness.
