In the past has that been distributed as widely as Pirate Bomb or BA Bomb?

I wish I knew. I've never even been able to get a Pirate Bomb! through distro, let alone Apple Brandy offerings.

    Okay...here how it works.

Those first batches of Noir and Bomb were different base beers and Noir indeed had a sizable amount of oats.

Fast forward a few batches, I can't remember exactly how it went down but for logistical reasons, the Noir base and Bomb base became the same beers.

When the beer is brewed it is brewed as "Bomb" but it is just an un-spiced, massive, Imperial Stout. Post fermentation is when it becomes a different beer. If it's Bomb, it gets spiced accordingly, if its a BBL aged Bomb or a Noir variant it goes into barrels.

So to answer the original question, that AB barrel labeled Bomb could very well be ABN or AB Bomb. There is no way to tell.

All of this has been either relayed verbally to people that have asked on tours/events or on some sort of online forum.

Hope this clears up any of y'alls confusion.

I no longer work for Prairie but I will be the first to tell you that none of the adjunct ingredients in any of their beers, especially Bomb are artificial. The "chocolate" is industry standard cacao nibs, the vanilla is very high grade vanilla, no extract whatsoever, the coffee is roasted locally, and the chilli's are real, chopped, ancho chilis.

As widely, yes. Obviously much lower numbers though.

I'm counting 25, with certainty. There's probably more. But let's just go with 25 x 450 beers per barrel (roughly) = 11,250. Which then if split evenly into thirds would be 3,750 beers of each. Now, the AB Bomb! & AB Paradise are obviously going to be new, but does anyone know how many bottles the count on the last AB Noir release was?

If this is in similar volume as Pirate Bomb and Pirate Noir were last time, should be able to get some.

Apple brandy Noir will only be distroed in OK. that’s it.

Apple brandy Paradise and Apple brandy bomb will be brewery only.

    Don’t think there’s a ton.

Any barrels with adjuncts will probably be similar to single barrel member average yield of last year, which was 383 bottles. If there are only 25-30 barrels, you can be certain you won’t see much of or any of these.

I don't care about adjuncts (unmalted grains), but live for the add-junk. Sure would like to see them ramp up production capacity and get their beers into more hands, but I suppose they feel they'd have to compromise quality.

They would also jeopardize hype, rarity and price. The beginning of the end :anguished:

Yeah, just ask Founders how that worked with KBS - but they ramped it up too far, too fast. I'm thinking that if Prairie only doubled production of some of their better BA stouts, they could get it into more hands, maintain the hype and price, and create more demand for their entire line. That and get all of their beers on the website.
