Fantastic NE APA. Aromas and flavors of big tangerine, grapefruit, lemon, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, mango, melon, citrus peel/zest, and light pepper/pine hops; with balanced wheat, biscuit dough, rye bready malts; and herbal, floral, grassy hop earthiness. Very mild pine, citrus peel/zest, herbal, grassy, spicy bitterness on the finish. Medium carbonation/body; creamy/bready malt and light sticky hops in the mouthfeel. Lightly increasing lingering bitter dryness. Refreshingly drinkable, super soft feel as usual. Great use of Chinook, Crystal, and Simcoe hops for the style. Very juicy, fruity, and fairly dank/earthy hop complexity; with a perfectly balanced wheat/bready malt backbone. Not overly sweet. This is more dank/earthy than their others with the heavy C hops. Gone for the season, but still have a full pack left.


Always world class for me. Aromas and flavors of huge pumpkin, seeds, cinnamon, nutmeg, clove, gingerbread, toasted pie crust, caramel, brown sugar, and light herbal hops. Light-moderate herbal hop/spice bitterness on the finish. Medium-plus bodied; balanced bready/grainy creaminess and hop/spice stickiness in the mouthfeel. Lightly increasing lingering bitter/spicy dryness, never astringent. Super drinkable, minimal warming 8.6%. This feels more balanced fresh than it used to be years ago. I used prefer it with some age to balance out the spices; but it seems to be good to go right now. Will be getting a few more packs. Will grab some Warlock eventually as well.

I just finished watching the Jack Ryan series on Amazon. Highly recommended. Great series.

Today I played golf for the first time in over three years. I LOVE golf and used to play all the time, but then I had kids almost 8 years ago, and that about killed it. I played better today than expected. The good news was it was a scramble. The bad news was I was the best player on the team. We came in last. But I had a blast, although I'm going to hurt tomorrow. They had free Freo Light there. I had half a can. It's horrible. I also had a local blueberry wheat. After getting home I had a Schafly Pumpkin and now I'm finishing a raspberry saison from Houston while I find something else to watch. Oh, I went shooting this morning before golf, so it's been a good day.

Last one for tonight. Apparently, I'm going IPA --> DPA --> TIPA -->(???) Pilsner tonight. All good... Tbh, after trying this, I don't think that Nelson hops belong in a pilsner. It doesn't taste bad overall, and definitely smells really good, but is also missing that pilsnery-bitter thing I want to get while drinking one. I applaud to Alvarado St. for producing a Nelson-hopped pilsner that tastes like .... exactly what you would expect a Nelson-hopped pilsner to taste like, but I have this unrelenting feeling that I'd rather be drinking some Urquell... Idk... Cheers everybody!
