    Nite cap - BrewDog’s “Punk IPA”:



    Relatively flavorless...

    We spent the whole day walking in the country. Ate lunch beside the river that runs through town. On the way back, had afternoon tea at the Hospital of St. Cross, a medieval church dating to 1132. Finished up our walk wandering about the ruins of the Bishop’s palace, Wolvesey, built in the mid 1100’s:



    King Alfred:



    He defeated Viking invaders in the late 900s, and set up shop in Winchester as the capital of England. Lots of Royal history here.

    Another work Monday in the books

    finally got my Stevenson Weekender project $100 sailboat in the water for a few minutes Sunday afternoon....have to sort out some funky stuff with the standing rigging before I get the mast and sails up - but cool little boat!

    amazing what a couple of quarts of cheap exterior paint can do, and a bit of varnish

    one minor leak in the cabin floor, but that is an easy epoxy fix

    she goes along nicely with small trolling motor

    also stopped briefly yesterday at newly opened Lock 15 Brewing in downtown Akron - now 3 and soon to be 4 breweries within a few miles of the center of town

    Fuck Monday, I'm going out in a blaze of glory! Quite surprised by how much this has mellowed in just a few days. Significantly reduced hop burn for sure.

    These things work wonders and are worth the steep price over a normal brush. I wouldn't recommend them for a beard, though.
