Fantastic Belgian Pale Ale! Lasting head retention and thick soapy lacing on the glass. Aromas and flavors of big lemon, peach, pear, red apple, melon, peppercorn, white grape, and light banana/clove yeast; with moderate cracker, white bread dough, lightly toasted biscuit malts; herbal, floral, grassy hops and yeast earthiness. Light-moderate herbal/floral/grassy bitterness and peppery yeast spiciness on the finish. Medium-plus carbonation, medium body, and fairly crisp finishing. Balanced bready/grainy malts, and sticky hops in the mouthfeel. Light-moderate increasing bitter/spicy/carbonated dryness. No astringency. Very smooth and pretty refreshing, zero warming 6.8%. It's been forever since I had regular Duvel. This was spot on as expected. Fantastic balance of classic Belgian yeast complexity, clean pils malts, and earthy noble hop presence. Would buy again! 4.23

Fantastic BBA Strong ale! Great head retention/lacing on the glass. Aromas and flavors of big raisin, plum, grapefruit, orange, lemon, peach, pear, citrus peel/zest, caramel, brown sugar, toffee, vanilla, bourbon, toasted oak, and brown bread; with light notes of coconut, cocoa, pepper, pine, herbal, floral, grass, and yeast earthiness. Light pine, citrus peel/zest, herbal, floral, grassy bitterness; and bourbon/oak tannin spiciness on the finish. Medium carbonation and medium-plus body; very creamy/silky/bready malts; light sticky hops and bourbon/oak tannins in the mouthfeel. Lightly increasing bitter/tannic dryness. No cloying/astringency. Very smooth, minimal warming 8%, no barrel booze. This is like a less aggressive BBA Arrogant Bastard! Amazing balanced of rich dark/bready malts, citrusy Chinook hops, fruity yeast, and bourbon barrel integration. No idea how old this is, ratings were from 4 years ago. It aged amazingly for sure. 4.25

Time for a Halftime refill. I like watching a once great team like the Seahawks fall from grace. Could of had 2 rings if they had just given beastmode the ball. And a team on the rise like the Bears play. Anyone's game though at this point.

Amazing PB porter! Glad these are in cans now. Aromas and flavors of huge peanut butter, milk chocolate, cocoa, nutty coffee, caramel, toffee, vanilla, cream, and toasted dark bread; with lighter notes of smoke, dark fruit, and herbal hops. Light herbal/roasted bitterness on the finish. Medium carbonation/body; very creamy/bready and fairly silky malt mouthfeel; light sticky hops and chalky roast. Lightly increasing lingering hop/roast bitter dryness. Very rich for 6.2%. Tons of PB and coffee flavor, with great balance of the base porter. Spot on style. Will be buying this a lot, glad we get Hoppin' Frog in MI now. An old hometown favorite brewery for sure.

Delicious session NEIPA. Flavors of orange, lemon, grapefruit, peach, pear, red apple, pineapple, mango, melon, citrus peel/zest, mint, and light pepper/pine hops; with moderate wheat, biscuit dough malt balance; and herbal, floral, grassy hop earthiness. Similar/muted aromas. Light pine, citrus peel, herbal, grassy, peppery bitterness on the finish. Medium carbonation, light-medium body, and fairly crisp finishing. Creamy/bready/grainy malts and some sticky hops in the mouthfeel. Slight resins, increasing dryness, no hop astringency. Very flavorful/refreshing, 4.7%. Nice soft feel for the style. Very juicy, dank, and vibrant hop complexity; nice bready malt backbone, with minimal residual sweetness. They went with Amarillo, Calypso, Denali, and El Dorado; so it's more stone/pome fruity than tropical, but still delicious. Well made style example.

How’s it going BA. Just got to our hotel Lincoln, Nebraska. Was a long and tiring drive from Keystone, South Dakota. Glad to be here (finally), now time for some brews. First up is Southern Grist’s [insert juicy pun]. It was actually given for free since it was the last remaining can they had and it was a display can. Despite being canned over a month ago, it stil tastes great. Cheers all!
