Got this small 1l can at the local LIDL supermarket. Festbier? It’s somehow a way for them to celebrate Oktoberfest. It’s pretty good and a decent deal: glass and the can for 5€.

    Prost!

Dipa from local guys, dubco, got that spicy blueberry mosaic thing going on. At 9.3%, nice and smooth too. Napping after this, see you folks on the flip.

Sorry I ghosted early last night - had to start dealing with a payroll issue. As in my pay. As in, my college thinks I owe them 16K in backpay. NOPE. SO that was pretty stressful. But at least my figures are accurate and I don't think I'll have to sue anyone. It wasn't that tricky to figure out... and I ain't no CPA!
    So, in celebration.
    Tuna ahoy!

A leftover from my 18th Street fanboy days after a four mile run earlier. I feared a drain pour as the later produced 750's of barrel aged Hunter didn't hold up and were undrinkable within six months. I'm happy to report this one from the first Barrel Massacre is still very good with dark chocolate, subtle bourbon and oak. A nice start to Friday before moving on to more home projects. I need to add some electrical circuits in the basement for a future mancave. Cheers bar flies!

Went out this morning thinking it might have finally turned cool to find that it was only less hot. Fortunately we still have a few Summer brews on hand . . .

Medium golden color with a slight reddish tint, significant white cap and lacing.

Aroma of raspberry and citrus, slightly tart.

Taste is surprisingly light and what there is can be called slight. Raspberry dominant, there is some citrus tartness, Brewer says lemon and I won't quibble. Can't say I really taste malt or grain but the body has a weighty-ness that belies a malt base.

    Medium texture with balancing carbonation.

Can't say much more about this one. It's clean, dry, simple flavors are pleasant and it's mild manners shouldn't offend anyone. Donno why they call it a Gose though as it doesn't have even a touch of salinity that I can detect.

Why name a beer tuna? I would expect it to taste like tuna and then that would turn me off.

Bit stormy here, near to the Dutch coast. A wonderful occasion to open this Nøgne Ø Dark & Stormy.

A hoppy and heavy stout with 8% ABV. It's a collaboration with the Dutch brewery Kaapse Brouwers from Rotterdam. That's not very far away from where I live. Going to check them out some day soon.
    Cheers!

So I pm'ed a prominent ba and who knows something about aged saisons, and he said basically your stuck, you bought it so drink it, but with an open mind. It's delish! Nice tartness and smooth.

    Cheers folks

Um... I dunno, not the brewer myself. At least it's not brewed with Tuna in the boil... maybe the upside? Hard to believe you haven't seen this before, given you live in Indiana.
