Its been a while since I've traded. I know rules on trading have changed to some degree. I have a few bottles of stouts I'd like to put up for trade. During a trade, can I ask the other party to throw in a few more bottles of a particular beer and I'll pay the difference with $$$ on top of the original trade? Does that have to be in PM or can it be posted in the ISO FT trade thread I started? Thanks...

Depending on the trade, I have at times requested no Extras unless that's their favorite part of trading. The reason being that if my shipment is a 3-day delivery by FedEx, and I have to use a larger size box just for extras, the extra size/weight can make as much as a $10 in shipping with just 2-3 extras. If my partner tells me that Extras are their jam, I always oblige. Not that you (personally) have to follow these rules.
So, what's typical recourse to get more beer on top of the trade? If the other party is willing to do, and as long as I send more rupees, just keep it offline off BA?
If I have no beer to offer and hes more than willing to do it for lugnuts on top of the trade, keep it offline, yes.
Yes!!.... Could even make it a local vs. local trade after the original ask is taken care of....just an idea though....
