I’ve heard of it, but couldn’t tell you what the flavor is. I’ll look it up.

Is the AC at the GS a new batch? Would be super rad!!!!!

 

Looks like the last release of church sold out so I think it is a new batch

 

Cardamom is used in some Indian curries and is very strong and pungent - if you get a big chunk of a pod in a bite of sauce, you know it. Savory earthy flavor - like cinnamon, clove, nutmeg, etc.

But it can also be used in sweets, baked goods, tea, etc.

Far and away the easiest Tired Hands release I've ever been to. Got there at 6:30, went to the General Store and got some Alien Church and Invasive 1. Right after went over to the Fermentaria and got a 4 pack each of today's release with 1 person ahead of me in line.

FYI, the Alien Church batch says canned on 9/20, which is the same as the rest of this week's release. I guess the days of getting it the day of canning are over.

Not quite sure yet what to make of the Pavlova milkshake. Doesn't really taste like a milkshake due to the earthy spices, but I did enjoy it.

So does anyone even bother with chairs anymore?

 

I really hope not since the lines don't even extend past the first sidewalk anymore

 

I am sure the people that live around there will be happy to see the chairs go away. Now if only they could fix the parking around there....

 

I bet there are still chairs at the front of the line each week, especially on a shake release. Why not get there a little early, drop a chair and go have a beer.....if you have the time to do that.

 

Exactly. The chairs made total sense when used like this, benefits the Ferm by selling more food and beer too. It just git absurd when people had chair mules drop them off hours earlier while they were at work to hold a place in line for 430pm. Glad those days seem to be over

Some initial posts about the beer garden in Fishtown.

 

Keith, it's a new batch. The cans of AC I got yesterday at the Ferm were dated 9/26/18!! And Colin confirmed it too. The draft version I had at the Ferm for lunch yesterday was THE best AC I have ever tasted. Glad I got two four pks.

Thanks for the tasting notes Richard, I've never been disappointed with that beer and the week before TH said that was their best batch in awhile, I have a four of that in my fridge at home I need to crack open.

 

This thread now warms my heart. May the discussion of actual beer flow and the tides of chair lines be in the past.
