Wow, this stuff is super sweet! Today is a national holiday -German Reunification Day. Hoping to find some restaurants and/or bars open. Cheers from Cologne!

Last call here ba. Tap system was all foam so a little bottle action w/ ca lager. Pretty good. Reminds me that I need to start drinking more lagers,

Actually a pretty decent brew . . .



Hazy gold color of a deeper shade, small white cap with little lacing.

Deep, rich malty tones waif out of the glass. Hops are present but in a much diminished form.

Taste is full. This is caramel malt in abundance. Very refreshing change from the herd of IPAs stamping around. Malt enters like a trumpet blast with hops from the string section joining in by mid palate and lasting through the finish. Hops bump up an octave in the finish leaving a lingering high note.

 

Just got a lot of new beers today and decided that the first to get samples is this fresh IPA.

To Øl, Ju!cy Mosaic 3, 5.9% ABV IPA
Really digging it. It's tropical and refreshing, but with lots of bitterness. It looks absolutely gorgeous as well. Not too hazy, not to clean. Think it's my first beer ever from To Øl but what a first beer. Really looking forward to trying the rest of them!

 

Is that the Goldene Kugel? I loved that restaurant when I lived there. You should visit Augustiner Müllner Bräu on the other side of the Altstadt next! It is of no relation to Augustiner of Munich.

Edit: I missed the top of the menu! Great place though!
