I was at Binny's Grand yesterday, no Juice Pants cans yet. They said hopefully today.

JP is pretty damn good. Doesn't taste green, heavy mosaic. Best beer I've had from Maplewood

But does it feel like it's in the Corridor mold? Does it have that special Roger sauce all up in it?

So I'm drinking one right now and it lacks a bit of the thickness in body (one of my favorite things about NE IPAs) and mouthfeel that I was hoping for but this beer is really really great.
Anyone who is a mosaic head will absolutely love this beer. Aroma and taste are incredible. I love mosaic, and I bought two four packs and will have no problem crushing all of them and am actually considering grabbing another four pack tomorrow because I love mosaic that much. As others have said it's very mosaic heavy.
    I'm really into it.

I can confirm this JP can in front of me is excellent. It’s not about body, which many of you know I don’t give a darn about. It’s aboit the hops and snappy finish. Huge aroma that people are coming to love.

I’ve never done any science with cryo hops and age, but this beer makes me want to.

I did know it used cryo, but I would have probably guessed it. I am wondering if this might get a little softer with some time.

(By no means am I saying don’t buy it, it’s really good)

I'd hesitate to call JP an NEIPA, it seems more like hybrid for the mass market. Mouthfeel and flavor doesn't fit my idea of NEIPA. It's not a bad beer and it is great bridge for someone who wants to move from an NEIPA into more traditional IPAs. At their best FR, Corridor, HB have softer, fuller mouthfeel (maybe that is just all syrupy sugar) and they have that juicy, fruity flavor and some of them have more of that citrus bitterness than others, but it's balanced. JP just tastes like Son of Juice cranked up a notch. JP tastes like a traditional west coast ipa blended with an NEIPA. It doesn't do what the best NEIPAs do or the best west coasters, so you'll either be grateful to have a little bit of one style you are craving in your beer or disappointed it doesn't go full on towards the style you were leaning towards.

That sounds sort of like my initial impression of JP back in the day (the first batch or two). It was hazy and a little juicy, but it drank more like a standard IPA (i.e. it was more fun to chug, but didn't have that creamy feel). I'll definitely consider this, since Navaja has left a mosaic void in my life.

I agree with @HouseofWortship analysis of the beer. While this isn't the Roger Corridor level easily accessible go to cans we were hoping for, this is still an excellent mosaic heavy beer.

Pretty sure his main issue with the beer is that it's not $9.99 for a 6-pack.

Actually now that you mention it, I think it was priced closer to the HB stuff at $15+ than $9.99 for SOJ. If it were closer to the $9.99 I'd give it a definite recommend for a fridge beer, but competing with the HB and FR 4 pack pricing I would stick with HB/FR.

Yeah, I was just giving you shit, but also saying that it's far from the "cheap, local NE IPA" that you/we have dreamed about.

Had to resurrect this thread to say how good Methode Haze is. Roger is at full steam at Maplewood now. Had a Hop Butcher DBO and I like Mango Shakey just as much. Also the new Fizzle Drizzle is really good. Haven't been a fan of the first few but this one is legit.

I thought Method Haze was solid. Really good mouthfeel but I think I’m merely ok with meridian hops. Love the crowlers though

Stopped in today for a Crowler of Mango Shakey and sounds like their putting in a new canning line in early 2019. Once that is in, we should see some of the draft only beer being put in cans. Excited to see some of these new Roger beers in 4 packs!

Finally stopped by again. I stopped going after being there on a quiet day that suddenly became packed to capacity in minutes. Extremely loud and crowded - felt like people were yelling. Soured me.

Was hoping to get a crowler of Methode for the game, but it had kicked last night. Cupa s’more also gone. Trying the mango shakes in a bit. Parking was easy and minimal wait at the bar to grab something to go.
