We had a staff meeting at work today but finished two hours before we open. And since it's my shift and there's a bunch of new beers on tap I might as well try them out while waiting to open.

Starting with a session IPA from Tiny Rebel. Their Dutty at 4.2% ABV. Cheers BA!

Second beer of the day is a NEIPA from Danish brewery Braw.

Kneel before Xenu at 6.1% ABV. Lots of citrusy notes and bitterness. Not too bad.

    On to number 3!

Fat & Fruity from Dry & Bitter, a 6.2% ABV IPA. Not really for me. Don't like my IPA's too bitter. And this is just a pretty straight forward hoppy IPA.

    Still got a few of these . . .

Rich flavor designed to be popular and in that I think it succeeds. Malty Vienna style with just enough hop presence to keep things interesting. It taste good and makes friends easily.

A collab beer courtesy of @Snowcrash000 - Hanscraft & Co./Stone (Berlin) - “Quince- Essential Hazy Ale”:

Big grapefruit and quince nose upon popping the can open. Bitter citrus rind and semi tart fruit. Bitter dry fruit linger. Medium plus carbonation and medium light body. Super easy drinking. I like everything except for the hazy snow globe effect. Still, a tasty, solid “NEIPA Light”.

La Grand Place de Bruxells in the background, about 2 blocks away from the apartment...

Supposed to be a day off (and it is), but circumstances have left me feeling a bit sour and blue...

The beer looks rather unremarkable but the aroma and taste certainly throw the fruit and sour elements at you. Fermented apricots in the smell and a strong lime and grape tartness in the taste and feel.

Moving on to another pFriem offering, and really enjoying this one...I should have gotten more...

An incredibly smooth and luxurious beer, well-balanced and complex with a mild bread crust and quiet lemon flavor, perhaps with a dusting of powdered sugar (but certainly not too sweet or in your face). My bad for not acquiring more of this beer when I had a chance...

I thought I had just twisted my ankle yesterday while walking the dogs. After not sleeping at all I went to the ER this morning and found out I broke a bone in my foot. I now have a walking boot and an appointment with the orthopedist.
    This makes me feel better.

    A little more punch with lunch . . .

Taste is hop forward with touches of ripe fruit interwoven with the citrus hops. A pleasing combination of the two with citrus overriding but not dominating the fruit. I really don't find malt in the flavoring sense but it's present in a supporting role.
