On my first listen so, no, I have not digested it. But some first impressions that I have shared elsewhere:

It sounds good but I think I am a bit HOF'ed out. Which is a bummer because HOF is one of those bands who has given me so much pleasure listening to their albums of over the years. The trifecta of Art of Self Defense/Surrounded By Thieves/Blessed Black Wings is maybe the best run of albums from any band that I have had the pleasure of experiencing in real time, personally. I bet this could very easily be one of those albums I listen to in the future and wonder why I never got into it when it first came out, but at this moment I feel a little burnt out on the HOF sound, even if this album is bringing some new ingredients to the table.

Live....I will never get tired of them.

Penney's Hill. An IPA brewed by Northern OuterBanks brewing. Close to where the wild horses roam.

I didn't preorder this one because my sentiments have been the same for a few albums now. HoF'd out.

You and I both, we'll be back one day. It's best to not force it.

What's up BA!? On my way back from work, stopping by my new local tap room. Beer #1 today is Vietnamese Speedway by Alesmith (with a non-matching coaster). Cheers all!

In Minneapolis with Mrs O visiting Little O, we’re at Modist Brewing downtown getting our beer nerd on. This is Double Dreamyard, a big, juicy DIPA that is outstanding, IMHO.

My last of these from Narrow Gauge. This is phenomenal. Lots of citrus and tropical fruit. It’s excessively hazy and dangerously drinkable for 10%. It’s like a hazy, tropical spin on Hopslam. It’s that good:

#2, this is Once Was Once, a honey porter that is really nice. If I had regular access to this, it would always be in my beer fridge.

Outstanding sour! Great head retention/spotty lacing. Aromas and flavors of big sour/tart/tangy cherries, limes, lemon, orange, fruit skin/pits, citrus peel/zest, pear, melon, red/green apple, white grape, hay, straw, and grass; with moderate wheat, graham cracker, white bread malts; light pepper, lacto funk, and yeast earthiness. Light-moderate fruity/lactic tartness, fruit tang, and light spiciness on the finish. Medium carbonation, light-medium body, and fairly crisp finishing. Balanced bready/grainy malt, lactic acid, and fruit tang/tannins in the mouthfeel. Light-moderate increasing acidic/tangy fruit dryness, no pucker. Very flavorful/refreshing, 4.8%. Not overly lactic. Awesome balance of juicy/lightly jammy cherries, vibrant limes, Lacto, and wheat/oat/malts against acidity. Definitely worth getting a second pack. They have been nailing all the sours I've had. 4.15

Atom/Funk Factory collab. Awesome sour. Nice head retention/spotty lacing on the glass. Aromas and flavors of big sour/tart/tangy cranberries, raspberry, strawberry, blueberry, fruit skin/seeds, lemon, lime, orange, grapefruit, peach, pear, green apple, melon, red grape/wine, oak, hay, straw, and grass; with moderate wheat, cracker, white bread malts; lighter notes of oaken vanilla, peppercorn, leathery/musty/lacto funk, white wine vinegar, and yeast earthiness. Light-moderate fruity/lactic tart/sourness, fruit tang, and light yeast/oak tannin spiciness on the finish. Medium carbonation/body, and fairly crisp finishing. Balanced bready/grainy malts, lactic acid, fruit tang, and oak tannins in the mouthfeel. Moderate increasing acidic/tangy/tannic dryness; minimal puckering sourness. Very smooth, not overly lactic, 7%. Outstanding balance of jammy cranberries, Brett/Bacteria complexity, oak barrels, and pale/wheat malts against acidity. A lot of people were saying this was way too sour, I've had beers 3 times as puckering as this beer. Hardly intense. 4.1

First Veil beer in seven weeks. OK, seven days. Got back from the OuterBanks, NC today. While there, drank NC beer almost exclusively.

This DIPA is a collab between Veil and Ocelot.

I dig everything you said. After Strychnine.213 I was reluctant to purchase another Aborted album...then Global Flatline and RetroGore I became a believer again.

A rarity here a Cali beer that's reasonably fresh, about a month or so. Never had a Modern Times beer because they're usually 8 months old, so one or both will be had tonight, chilling now.
