I'm not a fan of lactose (other than milk stout) or most IPAs (Two Hearted in great), particularly piney hops. I don't like lager. I love coffee in beer. I mean, like everyone else old ales, barleywines, lambic, and BBA stouts but I'd be happy with anything barrel-aged.

 

I'm sending 2 boxes so you can get all confused with my hints.

To Friend #1 and Friend #2: I'll be shipping sometime around the 18th, as I'm heading to AB to grab some slammers out there.

You're both refined, elegant gentlemen who enjoy wonderful beer. Your access to high quality beer will not deter me. Did you know that you can get Barleywine in cans out here?

I just did some searches on my target. I have absolutely no clue how I will find anything he has not yet drunk! My target (who lives far from where I do) has had beers from my favourite brewery that I did not even know they ever brewed!

To my Santa Claus,

I obviously want all the big beers that everybody wants. I will be quite pleased though with any beers from your area that do not make it to Gatineau/Ottawa. I send to Electros my beer list which he will pass to you.

I am a big fan of imperial stouts and especially the barrel-aged ones. I also appreciate porters, IPAs, Belgians (from dubbel to quadrupel). I am not the biggest sour beers fan but I enjoy red/brown sours.

For my target, we’ve met before. Kinda. If you know what I mean. But it’s been a stretch.

You’ll be getting a box full of locals, many from breweries you have never had.

As for the lucky person who drew me, I’m pretty easy, as I like pretty much everything. If you could weigh the box a little more towards not crazy ABV beers that I can drink now, that would be great. Really digging lagers lately, eapecially pils. All locals would be super cool, but happy with anything you think is good and want to send. I’m “boney” on Untappd. If you could, please ask for a signature on delivery......inner city sticky fingers and all

To the unfortunate person who must have done something horrible in a past life to draw my name....

I am a dirty, hardcore ticker. I go by the same name on RB and really just want to try beers I haven't tried before and don't have access too. Sadly I have over 19k rating and travel frequently so this will be no easy task. I like styles that are light and bright like Goses and Berliners but will happily drink almost everything else.

I've made a visit to your city 1 year ago and met a really cool guy from here. I can't say the name and I'm pretty sure he doesn't know I'm here..but the last time we saw each other.. he had BOYD bottles for me

I did a beer run yesterday and was able to pick up a few interesting things for my target. After turkey I'll start packing the shipper with those and some cellar beer, then see how much space I have left. I'll be buying any hoppy brews as close to the ship date as possible, which will probably be the 16th or 23rd. I don't think I've ever shipped a box this far west!

I'm quite easy to please, I just want to try whatever you think are great local beers that I can't get here. Really appreciate anything in the top 100 I haven't tried, but don't worry too much about that. My least favorite styles are herb/spiced beers, fruit or pumpkin, and farmhouse/sour/wild but I try to have an open mind. Not really huge on the hazy IPA thing, but again willing to try if you think it’s great.
