Decadent Ales just arrived into Vermont distro for the first time. I had their Blueberry Cream Pop Friday night and I have to say it's the first Milkshake IPA I've enjoyed. Here's their Citrus Citra, a DIPA with orange peel.

Moderate pour yields a one inch white head over a very cloudy to murky body. Uh-oh, me and murky don't usually get along. Nose of all kinds of tropical fruit and citrus. Also, a bit of onion wafting in and out as well. Taste mirrors nose but with a dryness near the finish of pine and citrus pith bitterness. After that there is a bit of sweetness that comes back to reclaim your taste buds. Interesting. Very nice feel at first but then that murkiness takes over with a sort of grittiness that hastens the exit of proper carbonation. Oh well, the hazybois will enjoy this. Cheers!

Had some Two Hearted in OBX, NC last week. It had been awhile. I enjoyed it. And all the Italian food along with it.
