Grimm Artisanal Ales (October 2018)

Tried Hyperfocus: Galaxy last night along with some others and its fantastic. I decided to pick up a case for my wedding coming up, it'l be nice to see how this beer mellows.

Surprised there isn't more talk about this past weekend’s releases. All phenomenal, especially Hyper Focus which has to be one of the best DIPAs I’ve had in a while. So clean, smooth, and pillowy soft. I can’t post tasting notes until I have another because the first one went down too quickly. Pils is excellent as well.

 

Looking forward to more iterations of both hyper focus and today's special.

In addition we are still currently stocked up on Hyperfocus Galaxy, Kites Are Fun, Telos, and Present Perfect, so it will be a good weekend.

 

Any chance you guys go back to 10am Saturdays? I have to be back on the Island by 1230 the latest on Saturdays and can no longer make the releases. I love your beer so it has me super bummed! I understand the logisitics but I just feel like complaining.

Edit: and the 5pm on the weekdays doesnt worked for me either, so double complaint!

 

While we're at it, any thoughts on limited distribution in the city while the L train shuts down next year?

I'm willing to enter into a purchase agreement of 12 cans per month to get the ball rolling.

 

Hey @Grimm_Artisanal_Ales what's the plan for stouts this Fall/Winter?

 

Thanks for letting me know you're interested in the earlier Saturday opening time. I don't think we can swing it from a logistical point of view right now, but if it turns out to be something that a lot of folks need then we're always listening.

haha! we do intend to distribute some things, it's all a process of working out how we balance the different priorities. Right now we are really trying to make sure that lots of fresh beers are available in abundance at the brewery and hopefully with no lines/fears of early selling out.

We have a really fun stout coming out this weekend!

 

I think the good news is that #linelife doesn't appear to exist at Grimm, the cans have been lasting a good amount of time so you can roll-in whenever.

 

Was at the brewery yesterday afternoon and really enjoyed everything. Between my fiancée and my parents, I think we tried everything that was available and it was all somewhere between really good and damn delicious. Kites are Fun was the standout for me, Telos was a great pilsner, and Present Perfect is a great vessel for passionfruit. Wish I had grabbed a bottle or two of Lucky Cloud to see how it ages, but it slipped my mind after that last pint of Hyperfocus.

Definitely looking forward to future Sunday visits.

 

Lucky Cloud is excellent. Incredibly easy drinking but still tons of character.

 

the aromatic intensity on hyperfocus galaxy is incredible - don't sit on this one.

fingers crossed for the stout coming out this week to be BA double negative in 8oz stubby cans...

 

I am hoping for the chocolate babka stout, even if it is technically the less superior babka

although I definitely wouldn't say no to a BA DN

 

both the current canned DIPAs are really tasty. Telos is similarly good, though I don't know if it tops Bushburg for my fav Grimm pils.

I regret not buying more bottles.
