When you work in the trucking industry...this is not a holiday.

Not a political post in any way...just the sad facts of my life.

While getting drunk is very likely, the event isn’t really set-up so you get shitfaced.

They give you tokens to get 4-6oz pours of the BCS, and once they’re gone, they’re gone. You can not buy more pours.

Now 7 pours of BCS will get you plenty drunk, but if it’s 20 degrees outside like it was last year, it’s not an affair that lasts more than 2 hours or so.

I got a ticket for a guest and I - but I accidentally requested “Group 2.” There was (if I recall correctly) and option for Group 0, 1 and 2. Do any of you know if I F’ed up by selecting Group 2?

Did anybody on here that won, leave the "tell us a story about making friends because of BCBS" blank or whatever it said? By the last 4 days, I didn't bother. Ironically, I'm taking someone that I met because of Bourbon County. If that's not apropos and metta, I don't know what is!

Group 2 seems perfect. Get in, have a round or two while group 1 gets their bottles and presumably the line to get in is shorter. Jump in line at 1:00 and get bottles. Have a round or two after and leave before you get cold. Although, I predict 62 degrees on 11/11, so maybe that's not such a concern. Have a few more rounds.

Last year, the groups were totally worthless and meaningless, which kinda pissed me off, as I raced back from Des Moines hungover super early in the morning to meet my friend.

Turns out I could have slept in a bit and still made me it no problem, as they were not checking groups at all.

I filled it out only on two of my 5 submissions, but it was simple things like " love cracking vintage bottles around the Holidays with my family" and "It has become a Birthday tradition of mine" (Birthday Nov. 25th). No way of telling which entry actually was chosen though.....

Last year there was a BCBCS coffee station set up outside of where they did the normal pours and they were easily 10oz. Also a not so secret secret is that they use the same tokens for every event so if you purchase some from one event they are good for all events...

I’ve only been able to partake in prop day 2016, where they had that insane line that took forever to get into the event. Did they fix that last year? Not trying to show up right before it starts, but need to know if I should plan on showing early so not to miss half the event

Wasn't that 0, 1, or 2 drop-down for how many tickets you were going to buy? My group number was displayed when I registered to purchase my tickets, there was no option to change it

I walked straight in last year. No line whatsoever. Lines for beers were maybe 5 minutes max (most of the time you basically walked right up) aside from the mystery beer line, which for me was not worth standing in.

Not sure how you read it any other way, but thanks for taking up half a page arguing about it!

I just realized the real downside of no Coffee variant this year...we haven't had the annual rumor of a bunch of it having to be dumped. Very sad indeed.

They dumped a ton of coffee and then had to mix what was left with barleywine.

Maybe that's one of the "surprises." Coffee is draft only....or free bottles to prop day attendees only!!! Of course it tastes like green apple and was bottled in fall of 2015, but that's neither here nor there.
