It was one of the more dangerous things I’ve done in my life. I was literally trying to survive - windows down (in November), music up - just trying not to end up in a ditch.

Last year was 1000x better than the year before. You walked right in, and could decide when you wanted to purchase bottles.

2nd year in a row I was able to get tickets after many years of nothing. Hopefully this year is as smooth as last year. I had group 2 or 3 last year but we arrived at the start and they told us to just go in and get our bottles. Think this year we will drink first and get out bottles on the way out.

Were you the guy that offered Cost + Rare '15 w/ box + Prop '17 + Abraxas '17 on facebook?
I was debating telling my wife she couldn't go for that one.

Ticket for coconut pecan pie, affo, and black Agnes. Not sure it’s more or less crazy than that. Considering the ticket let’s you buy 3 bottles it didn’t look like anyone was gonna give it up for less than a crazy offer.

If you get the bottles, I'd argue those 3 BCBS bottles are likely to be more valuable than the 3 you gave up.

Yeah that’s kind of what I mean thought. It takes 3 good bottles plus paying for the other ones to make a fair deal for the ticket. That’s a huge win for someone who just had to get an email.

Not as big of a win as having an actual friend to take...

Damn! And to think I let my fiancé' tickets last year go back into the lottery (Since we both won) hoping for good karma this year...

Enjoy those that get to go, it's a lot of fun. Hoping for 2 for 5 next year

Looks like I'll have to brave the GI line at Fobab this year. Lotteries hate me.

Universe seems to be reaching out to people who purchased two tickets and used their name on both (instead of in the guest name section). I got an email from one of their event specialists asking for my guest's name so he can change one of the tickets. It's good to clear up any potential confusion at the event entrance for sure.

Did anyone notice that the winning ticket didn't default their name this year? So what stops the winners from putting in some other person's name and dob..etc even though the rules say no? Last year your winning ticket entries I am told locked in so you couldnt enter someone else except your guest information.

I guess does Universe screen the data even though tickets have a barcode sent automatically?

I wondered about that as well. I only saw that the names on the tickets had to match the names on your ID when you enter. I would imagine universe would have a hard time verifying that data.

Who cares! There probably aren't too many winners that don't actually want to go.

Think his post was about abuse.

You could have every family member enter, then just put you and your SO down as the winner/guest. They never have to have intention of going.

In the other post there are people who did win and now can't go. Which pisses me off because there are so many people who would love to go and people sitting on unused tickets that may or may not be able to be transferred. IMO...if you are unsure that you can make it, then don't enter the raffle.

If you can't....give me your ticket and I'll bring your bottles back for you...as long as I can be the guest
