    Hammering my liver to oblivion...



    Reddish-brown body with a thick, sticky head. Figs and heavy malt aromas. The taste and flavor are rich, dense, and boozy; somewhat mimics the aroma but leaning more towards a balanced brown sugar and bourbon-like note (but not hot or fiery). Thick and chewy with subdued residual sugars; a dull sweetness overall.

    It's just one of those days. Cool, wet and cloudy, and deciding to put off some chores, accomplishing others, but also opting to enjoy a damn fine beer buzz, because, sometimes, one just needs to let free and loose...life has a habit of continuing on the next morning...

    Next up on this rainy Thursday is a collaboration between trillium and cloudwater. It’s a Hefeweizen blended post fermatation with a DIPA....sounds a little strange but tastes great!

    Whoa!!! Not sure if I can find a seat at the virtual bar[ar...ar...r...]

    Well, I have one at Ocelot’s tap room. Drinking a collaboration with Fair Winds (solid brewer that is actuallly closer to hone):

    Velvet Seas - a coconut porter (regular strength). The coconut is strong and authentic tasting (like the real thing, no extract). Even better, it’s not too sweet to me at all (the GF thought it was a tad sweet, though; her sip was after an IPA, though).
