For sure - no doubt that can happen. But I'd say you are in the minority. My dad was like that till ~50. I've definitely gone periods without exercise and held the same/similar weight (perhaps being a little more conscious of what I consumed) - I just enjoy exercising frankly - and on top of that it gives me a general mental boost and I eat/drink what I want (just not McDonalds!) without thinking about it

I guess my point was that just because @jacincm can shovel it in aged 26 with no consequence - it's no promise/guarantee of anything for 10 years from now. Many people can do that in their mid-20's. A lot less come mid-30's. And I'd wager very few at 48

Yes, all valid points and totally agreed. But can't we let him at least enjoy it instead of telling him its going to suck and lord it over him just because we are old (albeit not as old as @hazegramps)??? Aging sucks enough as is without having to think about it at that age

I’m in the same camp. I work out an hour or more 6 times a week: running, surfing, weightlifting. And I drink 1-2 beers a night, or more depending on the day (most days). I also eat very healthy (I cook mostly every meal) so I can maintain a good weight. Also might help that I’m still in my late 20s - I expect things to eventually change. Excessive exercise for excessive drinking!

[2.5 x (#oz) x abv = # of calories] gets pretty close. If its more than this, I don't want to know.

For comparison, how big of a brew house does treehouse have?

For realzies though I work out around 6 times a week and eat healthy most days. I generally drink a beer a night, and have been able to maintain my weight. Then again, I'm also 28 and have no responsibilities outside of work.

Don't you know that the calories don't exist as long as you don't talk about them? Come on guys.

Original Charlton blog said 50bbls. A blog post in May says that they are just under 1k bbls a week.
