What beer are you drinking now? #2182

Just got home from a hellish day at work. Excellent DIPA from Triple Crossing courtesy of @vabeerguy. Thanks Mike and cheers to all.

 

Hey BA’s off to Aruba tomorrow for a week or so. I’m guessing the beer selection is limited there. The burning question is pack beers or my wife’s 15 pairs of shoes. I say no shoes but I lost that battle before it began.



I’m drinking this one for Mr Dave Stanley, he was a Vietnam Vet, husband, father, police officer and brother from another mother to my brother. Great person who took my brother under his wing when he became a cop. Cheers Dave, rest easy.

I’m not upset with this beer but one is plenty.

 

Enjoying my last bottle of this, @mschrei sent me this 4 pack actually! I love this one with some age on it.

Blue Star Green Tractor IPA. Just an awesome classic IPA with beautiful lacing. Damn scooters!

 

All Second Pours Matter!

 

Not a fan of the last one, this one is much better.

 

I beg to differ. A second pour of an OE 40 does not matter.

 

This isn't something I could drink a lot of, but it's very enjoyable nonetheless:

 

Forest & Main Every Act An Offering. Less than a week old. This was awesome. Solid fluffy head retention, minimal lacing. Aromas and flavors of big mandarin orange juice, grapefruit, lemon, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, papaya, mango, watermelon, guava, blueberry, citrus peel/zest, and light pepper/pine hops; with balanced wheat, biscuit dough malts; and herbal, floral, grassy hop earthiness. Mild pine, zesty, herbal, floral, grassy bitterness on the finish. Medium carbonation and medium-plus body; very creamy/bready/grainy malts, light sticky hops, and slight grittiness in the mouthfeel. Slightly increasing lingering bitter dryness, no cloying/astringent. Super smooth/soft, mildly increasing warmth of 8%. Feels like Mosaic/El Dorado. Super juicy and lightly dank/earthy hop complexity; perfect wheat/oat/malt balance, not overly sweet from lingering dryness. Spot on NEDIPA. 4.12


Fat Orange Cat. Awesome white stout. Lasting thick head retention and soapy lacing on the glass. Aromas and flavors of big milk/dark chocolate, cocoa, nutty medium roast coffee, caramel, brown sugar, toffee, vanilla, cream, and toasted biscuit malts; with light notes of smoke, char, herbal, floral, grassy, and peppery hops. Light herbal, floral, grassy, peppery hop; and roast/char bitterness on the finish. Medium carbonation and medium-full body; very creamy/silky/bready malts; light sticky hops and chalky coffee in the mouthfeel. Lightly increasing hop/roast bitterness; no cloying/astringency. Very smooth, mildly warming 7.2%. Really spot on stuff, one of the better ones I've had. Very rich oats/malts, cocoa, coffee, and vanilla flavors; with nice earthy hop balance against sweetness. 4.13
