    I was walking the dogs yesterday when we were set upon by three strays. Trying to rein my dogs in and trying to chase the other dogs, I rolled my ankle on a curb. It hurt so badly that I went to the ER, and found I had a fractured metatarsal (my first ever broken bone). And because the fracture extended into the joint space, the recommendation was for a cast rather than a boot. Cast and crutches for the next four weeks. Just when my golf game was starting to come around!
    Today's first beer is Cholo Stout from Marble Brewing.

    Pain meds for wife from CVS...check



    Lunch beer on balcony...check

    That's regrettable. Something similar happened to me involving a dog, a pup and a stray cat. Those around me had the effrontery to laugh when I said I was cold sober at the time.
